What bots/hacks are allowed?

It’s amazing how gullible some people are. Blizzard ignores a problem and then makes money off a solution for said problem that never needed to exist.

Many private servers did an excellent job keeping the game bot/exploit/RMT free. They did it by actually CARING about the game and monitoring it.

Blizzard just chooses not to.

I mean if you want any form of a quality brand you are kind of suppose to have good customer service including keeping a good standing of integrity in your game.

Required, no, but VERY much in their best interest to do so.

Do you not understand what the EULA is? I do not know what you are asking. It specifically says it will be punished immediately.

You are being a perfect example though

official policy is zero tolerance.

Actuality is obviously much greater than zero.

They have no legal obligation to do anything. That does not mean it is a good business decision. When people pay for a service and the quality of the service is not maintained, it decreases the likelyhood people pay for future services. Games trade highly on brand, allowing the brand to degrade when avoidable is a poor decision.

Exactly. Despite the fact that Blizzard has zero legal obligation, they’ve managed to keep us subscribed, and keep our support, by virtue of their quality game.

Those same customers have the right to tell blizzard the botting problem is getting worse again and ask that they fix it.

Why are you so opposed to asking for a solution? It’s a real problem that a lot of us are noticing more and more. Maybe you are just oblivious idk, but you acting like they shouldn’t try to fix the problem is very dense sounding.

People certainly have a right to ask. I’m just reminding people that they aren’t entitled to it, because blizzard is not contractually obligated to heavily moderate their game.

I think the bot/hack issue is really blown out of proportion. I see at most 2-3 bots a day.

The market on a lot of servers says otherwise. Our righteous orbs have tanked on mine again. Go /who strat or /who zul or /who blackrock depths. There are dozens in instances 24/7.

There are other reasons for markets tanking. I’m not sure why you assume that its because of bots.

Dont be dense. There are bots farming these items 24/7. It has a major impact if not the only one its a big part of it.

Correct, but threads such as this are not really the first or second warning sign that they are going to start to losing that support more and more.

Personally I’m pretty invested in wow, as are many of the people playing. However, it would take a LOT of convincing by other players, and no amount by Blizzard to get me to buy d4. A year ago I would have just bought it.

What exactly is wrong with any of those things? If you don’t want to raid for gold then don’t do it. If you don’t want to get boosted then don’t do it. Don’t want to death roll then don’t do it. None of these things are bad. If you don’t like them don’t do them. The game doesn’t have to be how YOU think it should.

I agree with that logic, but when boosting is used primarily as something that facilitates illegal behavior maybe it needs to be changed. I am sure the majority would avoid the grind compared to getting boosted because it takes more work, but it also takes away any reason to group with others in a mmorpg, and there is something wrong with that. Not to mention if this whole game is buy gold to have someone else level your toon, what’s the point in the long run?

Why are you implying that people pay money for gold to get boosts?
10-15g a run is nothing. A single stack of plaguebloom is 50-60g.

I also feel like this is because of bots similar to the black lotus prices a few months back.

Well for the most part if you are getting boosted you are going to do it through to 60. 15-60 might cost 4k gold or more? I don’t think that the amount of players paying for boosts, all have that kind of gold.

Do you know why there are so many Asian farmers? Because there are so many american buyers. GDKP raiders kiss their *ss all the time. I originally thought American players hate pay-to-win. I guess I was wrong.
