What boss says "I will enjoy watching you burn"?

The Transmorpher Beacon toy summons a boss with the line “I will enjoy watching you burn”. My guildies and I have been trying to look up which one it is and can’t find it anywhere… This is, of course driving us all crazy now. :rofl: Anyone here know? :slight_smile:

Is it the scarlet monastery armory final boss? He likes to light stuff on fire.

That’s part of the problem. We’ve been using the Transmorpher Beacon on cooldown trying to get it again and, naturally, this is the time it won’t come up…

I believe praetorian might be right, or close at least. I believe it is either Brother Korloff from the cathedral or Flameweaver Koegler from armory.

Isn’t that the high botanist from Nighthold?

I can’t get that guys voice out of my head. I’m almost certain that’s it.

Edit: just looked it up, the actual voice line I was thinking of was “Careful not to singe the buds as you BURN”.

Now I’m quite curious, I’ll have to do more digging OP. Do you recall how the model looked when the player transformed using the toy?

I did this as well and I too am curious lol
so far all of them are close but not the exact quote.

Nope. We wish we did. I’ve looked up these bosses listed here so far and at least according to WoWPedia, they don’t have that line. (Lots of burning lines, though!)

I’m almost positive it was a male voice, though you know the more you think about something, the less accurate you get sometimes.

Have you had a look at the transmorpher beacon page on wowpedia? It has a list of all 97 appearances lol.

I’ve went through the list twice, but accounting for human error I may have missed some things.

Using Ctrl+F with key word “Burn” the only bosses I was able to find quotes for were:

Kael’thas Sunstrider (Magister’s Terrace)
Drahga Shadowburner
Keli’dan the Breaker

Keal’thas “Vengeance burns!”
Drahga “I will burn you from the inside out!”, also “BY FIRE BE… BURNED!”
Kel’idan “Closer! Come closer… and burn!”

I’m wondering if it’s either a quote not listed… or if somehow we’re all misremembering it together… :thinking:

The quote might simply be slightly different for the beacon so that it fits more contextually compared to the boss quote?

I was wondering this, too. Maybe an unused quote that they busted out for the toy.

This is also possible. But I don’t know any other boss quotes I’ve seen which are different.
