What are your Top 5 mounts?

  1. Raven Lord. This was the first “rare” mount i ever got, and ive had it since BC, when only druids on their epic flight form quest could summon the boss.

  2. Sandstone drake. I spend HUNDREDS of hours farming the recipie for this in Cata. This was when you had to fly all over Kalmidor and dig up the sites not in Uldum, just to get Uldum digsites, then get a canopic jar, which was rare. Than get the recipe from the jar, which was even rarer!

  3. Lucid Nightmare. That god forsaken maze can go **** itself. Just wish the mount could fly, cause its gorgeous!

  4. Bronze Drake. Earned that during WoTLK early days before everyone outgeared the instance and made it a cakewalk.

  5. Kua’fon/Child of Torcali- Tie, because i love “raising” our mounts over the span of weeks. Help build a special bond between master and rider!

In no particular order:

  1. Tamed Bloodfeaster, particularly with my current transmog that fits it quite well.
  2. Any of the primordial direhorns, because I love Triceratops.
  3. Felbroken Shrieker, in large part due to the summoning animation.
  4. Hearthsteed. Of all the plethora of horse mounts, this one is, to me, the coolest looking one.
  5. Obsidian Worldbreaker, because Deathwing.

I used this for a while but I stopped because it was too frustrating when I was trying to get out of the water with PoF. It’s too tall so most of the time I wouldn’t be able to actually get on top of the water without dismounting, jumping out, and mounting again.

Heavenly Azure Cloud Serpent
I saw someone on this mount in WoD and it inspired me to become a mount collector. It is a blue glowy dragon. Omg.

800 kills. Blue glowies.

Vitreous Stone Drake
BLUE GLOWIES!

Llothien Prowler
Foxes. Foxes. Omg. A fox mount.

Vulpine Familiar

  1. Arcanists Manasaber. It’s a magic flying purple cat. It’s like it was made for me.
  2. Vulpine familiar- cute lil blue fox
  3. Honeyback Harvester- I love my bumbly buzzy boi
  4. Ashes of A’lar- I’m a fire mage, A’lar is a phoenix… what’s not to love
  5. Cat mounts. All of them.

  1. ICC Frostwyrm: fits the DK aesthetic perfectly. The size is sensible and there’s a tremendous amount of detail involved in its look, down to the war-torn metal plates, large rings, frayed wings.

  2. Ashenvale Chimaera: fits the NE lore and also has some of the most unique in-flight animations with the glide and loop-de-loop animation mid flight. Also great detail on its armour.

  3. Lightforged Mech: Though stupid expensive, I just love the aesthetic of light-based war machine and its mount special (charging and shooting) is just too cool. Sounds are pretty great too.

  4. Dusky Drustvar Gryphon: I missed WoD when they released the new gryphon models and they’re just so good. Greta detail, larger, wide wingspans, the size matches the character so well.

  5. Prestigious bronze courser: I don’t have any other pvp mounts and I figure I’d include a land mount here. I normally think horse mounts are super boring, but this one just looks great. I use it whenever flying isn’t allowed.

I really have a thing for mounts that are super good looking but aren’t unique lore-wise.

1 - Ashenvale Chimaera - Love mine.
2 - Teldrassil Hippogryph - Wish i could obtain one.
3 - Grand Armored Gryphon
4 - Red Flying Cloud
5 - Elusive Quickhoof.

3.) Grove Warden (looks amazing)
4.) Amani War Bear (my first meta mount)
5.) Fiery Warhorse (my first and oldest rare mount. Had him since 2007.)

However, it’s hard for me to pick those five. I have 520 mounts on my Paladin (or 611 according to the Armory or 564 on my mount tab. People use different sources) and I love all of them. Mount collecting is my favorite WoW pastime.
