What are your thoughts on Khaz Algar?

it’s the worst continent in the game. The only god zone is Hallowfall, azj-khet can burn in hell or in shadowlands idc it sucks.

I don’t think it’s the worse.

I do think it feels very Dragon Isle-y… so personally Im already sick of the whole place.

To be fair, I also am pretty sick of underground dwarven anything, so it doesn’t help.

Im looking forward to returning to Northrend Quel’Thalas in Midnight.

I honestly can’t complain about it.

Hallowfall is my favorite zone, followed closely by the surface zone. The other two are fine as well.

Was worried I wouldn’t like them because of Deepholm. I hated that zone. Felt claustrophobic, but they managed to make the ringing deeps and the spider zone a cavern w/o it feeling confining and bleh.

I despise trying to dragonride through any of it. It’s most likely because I’m not at all used to trying to navigate where this suddenly is a dead end cave or there’s a giant ledge blocking me from going directly to my objective.

I use flight paths way more than any expansion so far so I can still get around for now. When the anniversary event finally ends and I start doing more world stuff in the current areas I’m hoping I get a better understanding of the navigation and it won’t be so frustrating for me.

I’m not a fan of those huge zones which they’ve done since Dragonflight they feel stretched out and empty. I think there’s some great part but feels unexploited as you’re flying around all the time at 2000% speed.

I’ve been advocating returning to kalimdor and eastern kingdoms for ages. At some point they’re gonna run out of room on the globe. Pretty soon there will be no water.

As for your question, I like isle of Dorn and hallowfall if I didn’t have to fly so far. And earthen have some great aesthetic for being so devoid of personality.

I use flight paths and regular old flight. I refuse to use dragon riding.

My interest in the visual aspect of warbands is minimal.

I don’t care is probably my answer. I never asked for this weird character screen setup and I’d like the option to be able to rever to the way it was.

I like it well enough. I don’t hate it nor can I say it’s my absolute favorite. Just kind of there really.

Overall, it’s fine. Not great, but not terrible either.

Dorn - Boring, but functional. Not much else to say here.

Ringing Depths - Not great, but not as bad as I expected it to be from the previews. Yeah, it’s an underground cave zone, but it’s very open and well lit, so it doesn’t feel as bad as places like Deepholm or Nazjatar.

Hallowfall - Absolutely amazing. One of the coolest zones they’ve made in ages.

Azj-Kahet - Meh. Finally the dark cave zone I was dreading. Thematically, the aesthetic is fantastic. It really feels like a place where the nerubians would live. On the other hand, that aesthetic makes ME want to spend as little time there as possible (see also: The Maw.)

To me it’s just sort of fine. It’s not by any means bad. But it’s also not particularly interesting either. But that’s sort of how the whole expansion has hit me.

Wish they had placed it adjacent to dragon isles, so you could fly between them.

I love all of the zones, including the spider place.

Slowly worked on my fear of spiders by not having the censor on.

I liked the top layer once I turned the audio down and the music up. I don’t usually do that. But my brain was just so used to how “just okay” the last 2 expansions sounded, I kinda tuned out any new music. Once I chilled for a bit listening to it, I started to vibe more with it.

I can’t be too mean to the Earthen. They got me to cry a few times in their quests.

I like that story wise they make you wait a bit before Hallowfall. They know its the place a lotta folks wanna see. Makes the pay off of you walking around that corner and seeing the crystal nice

The zones aren’t bad at all. I wish it were faster to get to Hallowfall.

Isle of dorn:
The zone feels fine, has the whole “scottish highland” vibe and feels very dwarf. That being said, the zone aesthetics and the architecture kind of feels a lack of titan touch. Should have been perhaps a bit more akin to Ulduar

The ringing deeps:
Lot of good aesthetics here and detail touches (like the glow worms hanging from the ceiling when you traverse from the ringing deeps to azj’kahet). While it isnt a bad zone, i just dont find a lot of appeal in it for whatever reason(s). Maybe the zone is a little too “busy” what with goblins, all the earthen tech/structures, kobolds, fog monsters, skardyn :dracthyr_shrug:

Hallowfall:
Easily one of the top 5 best-looking zones they have ever put forth, arguably the best (I would say the best)

AZj-Kahet:
Being that they are spiders, I would have liked seeing more stuff being built into nooks/crannies in the walls and ceilings (though suspending some of the structures from the ceiling was a nice touch)

They are certainly a big step up from the majority of dragonflight zones.

Hallowfall is beautiful and amazing

Underwhelming.

Not a fan of the zones at all, or the music, esp the violins in AK.

If we didn’t have map pointers showing us how to move from one zone to the other, I would have sit this expac out.
