What are your thoughts of the Warner Bros. Discovery controversy?

I heard there are some problems since the merger of Discovery and Warner Bros. I know they are removing the old CN animated shows from HBO Max and replacing them with nature and cooking shows.
I liked watching CN and Discovery Channel growing up in the 2000’s. But I feel torn now that my favorite nature channel is replacing my favorite cartoon channel. Though I do prefer nature shows over animated ones.

Huh, I don’t know what’s going on.

I’m beyond disgusted honestly. The animators worked hard for their shows and some higher ups just wanted a tax write off.

It seems really disturbing with the new digital method of these things that this can put some works out of the reach of archivists and all the work that has gone into them may just disappear because of some soulless (and boneheaded, as I saw one thing suggesting they’re having losses that far outweigh the supposed tax savings they would get) business decision.

I mean. Most of those shows really really REALLY sucked so the impact is less for me than it is for you. If they removed scooby doo, though, oh boy. Like ya’ll gonna talk about working hard for animation, think about the people who made animation before digital was a thing. Most of these newer shows on HBO? My daughter couldn’t even like. They are absolute trash. Only thing I really want form discovery right now is for them to cancel harley quinn. That show is one of the worst most toxic steaming piles of animated crap on an established IP that I have ever had the misfortune of existing in the same space and time with.

Mrs. Fletcher? NO!
