I think it could be fun. Hopefully its well implemented. Pet looks kind of cool.
What event ? This games coming June 6 and I feel like I’m already behind.
50% bonus exp and some cosmetics? Gimme. 
My expectations are low - the last event during Legion I think I saw 4 goblins total across the entire event and they all escaped.
edit: well, it turns out my pessimism was unfounded. It’s not hard to find and well-camped.
I’m so damn excited 
Can’t wait to see how we get the pet and mount, what the drop rates are like, and if the goblin kills give any XP.
Buuut I’m also cautious, this is blizz and I wouldn’t put it past them to whack a 0.01% drop rate on the mount for the limited time event…

Look at the recent blue post. Basically a treasure goblin spawns and you kill it for a chance at loot drops.
I have ten scrolls of town portal on my warlock that I held onto because I just had to since I was so close to finishing the tome. Might actually be able to finish it this time. THEY THOUGHT I WAS MAD FOR NOT THROWING THEM AWAY, MAD? HA! WE’LL SEE WHO’S MAD WHEN I FINISH THE TOME THIS TIME!

Got my alt army ready to get them drops.
The xp bonus isn’t starting yet.
We won’t know until it’s live. My concern is bugged content.

This event will be glorious, and nothing bad is going to happen, for sure.
It isn’t “Bugged Content” it was all planned out by professionals to work that way. Later, it gets changed and reported as “not working as intended”, but we all know it was.
You want my honest thoughts and those of my sibling?
We’re worried that D4 is going to be trash-tier at launch because of all the incentive they’re putting into the pre-purchase of the game.
Like if you prepurchase I believe you get to play the game 4 days before anyone else. Honestly that kind of thing makes me not even want to ever play the game as well.
I’m worried the game will be worse than Diablo 3 at launch or about equal and I’m worried it will take 3-4 years for it to become great just like it took a while for Diablo 2 and Diablo 3 to reach their potential.
I’m worried blizzard will only “update” the game in big ways when they release new “acts/expansions” so I’m worried that not only will the game be mediocre at launch but I’m worried that it’ll take a couple/few years to get an expansion and then we’ll have to pay for another full game price just to get some updates that should have been part of the original release. Then I think they’re going to milk diablo 4 more than D2 and D3 by releasing 2 or possibly 3 more act/expansions after that for a total of 5-games to purchase before the game is where it’s supposed to be.
Now I don’t think it will actually take all 5 acts to reach the potential. I do however think it will take 2. So I’m worried we’ll all have to wait about 4-5 years before we have a game that’s on par with Diablo 2 and Diablo 3.
Do they spawn in dungeons and PVP because that’s where like half the players are. (40% of the player base) and then the other 60% is scattered between Classic WoW, Raiding, Open-world, cosmetic mounts/transmogs, pet battles, etc.
Says across capital cities and dragon flight zones.
