What are your professions?

Doing Herbalism (150) and Alchemy (140) on my hunter. Just ding’d 20 last night and picked up expert in both.

Of course have all three secondary professions → Cooking (150), Fishing (150), and First Aid (87).

I’ve found them all to be really useful (and an enjoyable ‘downtime’ activity). And being able to craft the pots that provide hour buffs has been rather helpful for myself and my HC buddy. I should really spend some time to get my First Aid a bit higher with the rest though >.<

Just now have to grind out the gold for the book to get expert Cooking. I don’t know why, but I really want to focus on fishing >.< Though getting to Booty Bay for the book to learn expert fishing might take a minute, especially since I’m deliberately taking my time.

Curious what professions others are focusing on? And if there are any other fishing lovers out there >.>

I’m making a character for each profession, and I am making back up characters to hold their stuff when they go out to level.

Definitely fishing and cooking for everyone. It’s necessary to stay alive. I haven’t been concentrating as much on First Aide, I want the material for bags and cloth clothes right now, but once that is taken care of First Aide is very important.

In HC, I end up playing like I did in Vanilla

Main, alt to make bags, alt to make potions, alt to make armor…

And since you have to level them so they can do better professions, gonna have to get them all to 60

Skinning, Leatherworking and ofc the non primary profs on my hunter. So far I’m ahead of my level on crafting (thanks for looting guys!) Fishing is 175, cooking 170, and first aid is suffering since I’ve focused on beasts. Hunter is 24.
I’ll go herb/alch on my Druid, and tailor/something on my Mage. I won’t start those guys until my hunter is in the 40s though.

My HC buddy is Leather Working and Skinning and has kept up with them. So has been able to provide both of us (Hunter and Druid) with leather armor.

I probably seriously need to get an alt for Tailoring and Enchanting going. My HC Buddy had one but it died :frowning:

Easy decision. Goggles and dummy’s!

Engineering was suggested to me at first - but while questing in the Nelf area the herb and alch trainers where right there lol. So I picked them up. I found them super useful (and fun for some reason <.<) so they stuck.

Though I swear - when I die it is def going to be from wandering off into a dangerous place to pick herbs

My 10 bank alt has alchemy and tailoring.
I leveled two toons to hunt for ore and herb, funneling the linen to bank alt.

I have a bunch of characters, but my main one is a human paladin with mining and blacksmithing, both in the 70s. He also has cooking and fishing.

I feel the call of the metal and the stone. I have chosen to learn the craft of blacksmithing and mining. The ringing of hammer on metal, it’s music to my ears.

60 Mining / 116 Skinning
72 Cooking / 45 First Aid

Haven’t started fishing. I always get bored of fishing.
Maybe one day I’ll sit around and fish. I need a cool hat first.

I do it as a mindless activity. I play HC with some friends and we like staying on the same -ish experience range. So, fishing is something I can do that has minor benefit that doesn’t advance my xp at all. Heck, any professions achieve that.

Minus herbalism though <.< The number of times I’ve had to clear out an ENTIRE camp for briarthorn is rather high.

Me: sees briarthron in middle of a camp
Me: “Whelp, here I go a murdering again!”

Legit when I die, its going to be due to a dangerous pull trying to get a stupid herb.

Almost lost my life mining yesterday. Made it to the node easy enough, had to fight my way past bears and leopards to get back to road, but I survived, and have my copper!

Legit there is nothing quite like the rush I get from gathering professions <3

Herb/Alch for the Druid, the only one I’m leveling atm. Fishing, Cooking and First Aid for all.

Nothing like rooting a mob to gather an herb and running away. :dracthyr_uwu:

Alch herb out of habbit. With trading not as required though, but I enjoy carrying lots of health pots and having buffs regularly.

Plus I assume I will be able to make some profit eventually to go towards mount.
