Was having a discussion about this last night when my GM and I were couple of Delves. We both agreed we really like Sluice but didn’t get around to talking about the ones we generally avoid.
So, how about you? Not ones you might think are “worst” or “best” for whatever reason, but ones you just personally enjoy?
Smash and Jab in Archival Assault. The easiest and fastest I think.

I like Fungal Folly, dislike… the one with the darkness and candles.

Sluice and Archival are the only ones I do. Maybe Spiral. The others might as well not exist for how little I do them. Hallowfall delves are my least favorite.

I don’t care for Kreigvals Rest.
I like the others though. My favorite is the ones with spores to explode my enemies. Although I hated those spores in season 1.

I don’t really “dislike” any of them, but my least favorite are the Kobold delves because I just find most of the mobs in there tedious. They’re not fun to fight; they’re not challenging to fight; they’re just damage sponges that take too long.
My favorite is probably still the Excavation Site 9, added in the 2nd season.
I just like that delve. No particular reason except that I have never found it annoying or tedious while most other delves, I find one or more of the “stories” in them a bore.

I hate certain stories, anything that has mobs or mechanics that make me feel rushed in any way, like those stupid nests that spawn mobs over and over again until you kill them, then the webs on the ground that make more things spawn. These aren’t hard mechanics to deal with or anything, they just make me feel rushed and i hate that.

I liked the crocolisk one in Sidestreet, the newer story they added.
I just know it wasn’t one of the original ones Sluice came with, because I did them all.
Honestly the croc one is my favorite because it feels like something my Hunter would actually be doing.
Archives is always great because of how fast it is to clear.
I enjoy Archival Assault, because as VDH I can pull whole floors at one time, then look over edges to see next objective before dropping to that level and doing it again. I feel like Archival Assault plays to all my strengths and is very efficient for me.

Least fav is anything where I have to pick up and drop some anti dark/gas/whatever item. Just let me fight mobs and solve mild puzzles. Fav is anything with the exploding spores, moving packs into them is fun as tank spec.

Yeah. When delves were announced I was hoping they’d be like BC or WotLK dungeons - as in, just kill stuff, no gimmicky crap. But sadly that’s the era we’re in now. The era of gimmicks and affixes.

Favorite: Earthcrawl Mines
Classic Delve feel, and when the story that has the minecarts is up playing in traffic is hilarious
Least Favorite: Archival Assault
The teleports feel stiff, and while I do like them re-using dungeons as Delves, I don’t like the DF dungeons overall
One I want to like the most: Sidestreet Sluice
Verticality kills it most of the time, but I love the style of it

Least favs are that mine cart one in Isle of Dorn and those other two where you have to drop items along the way to see enemies or to breath (think it’s waterworks).
All the others I don’t mind.
Hatarang is a fav curios.
Underkeep with goblin shredders, god those silk spawns at trashy place and catapult can’t always hit elites.

I hate Archives the most, just because of how hard it is to find the flickering gate there
Fungal delves and stories are my favourite. I love killing packs with the spore bombs.
I love everything with an abundance of hazards I can use on all the enemies. Dislike Kriegval’s Rest the most because it has no hazards and the darkness makes pulling large groups annoying.

Favorite is the puppet master one. Pretty creepy in a fun way.
Least favorite was the underwater one grabbing air bubbles like Sonic. Annoying mechanic, glad it’s gone.

I’m not fond of the air totems. It makes no sense that the mobs can breathe the air but I can’t.
