What are you planning to main and why?

So, just out of curiosity, what is everyone excited for main in Classic and why? Any given reason for that choice? Anything specific you are looking forward to?

I am planning to main an Enhancement Shaman, I remember really enjoying them back for the little I got to experiment with them back in Vanilla. Way back then my first real character was a Paladin on a PvE server, then I found out my friends all re-rolled on a PvP server and I refused to re-level Paladin so I spent my time as the easiest of the Classes and rolled a Rogue. Near the very end of Vanilla I made a Shaman, because I was an Alliance main, and it blew my mind just how fun they were. Never got to cap before TBC, though it did influence me to main Enhancement Shaman back in TBC.

If there is one thing I am really looking forward to with my Enhancement Shaman its the fact that I can enjoy Two-Handed Enhancement once again and I am especially looking forward to seeing those big Windfury procs once again! It just always felt good at the lower levels to see those Windfury procs, something just enjoyable about it.

Anyway, what does everyone plan on doing? What are your Vanilla plans?

A priest.

I have been playing a Priest since I bought the game (December 25th, 2005). I have not been disappointed since.

For me, I’ll be going either Warlock, Mage, or Priest. If a guild wants to pick up a former Top10 US player for a DPS, Heal, or Tank role; I’ll play whatever. :wink:

Warlock/Mage would be difference for me. I played Hunter back then. I’d like to try something new.

Priest, because insta-invites.

And I’ll play tank/Warrior because I think getting fed gear always feels nice. :smiley:

Night elf priest because of the night elf area, the useful racial when you have kids but mainly because of the jump flip and cool casting animations.

Priest because I want to heal and I love playing around with the 5s rule.

Troll combat rogue
not even for “meta” reasons but the class fits better with my character’s backstory and personality.

Planning on rp-pvp realms pref, if non are available settle with rp :wink:

Night Elf Druid. Druids have two choices in Classic. Guild is Alliance. I like elves. Easy choice.

As a class, druids being so flexible is awesome. I love the little downtime once you have cat form while leveling. The ability to bypass mobs with prowl. How I can heal myself instead of using a pot or a bandage in a tight situation. I can completely avoid pvp if I’m not in the mood due to Shadowmeld when I need to AFK or with all my mobility as a druid. I get to tank and dps.

And Night Elf has always been my favorite race with its lore and aesthetics. Druid lore is also great. The Druid community in Vanilla also kept me playing. So much to say just really enjoy NE Druid.

I played DPS in Vanilla/TBC/Wrath, and did a bit of Arena in Cata, but just going to go full Support, and cant wait to dive in.

I haven’t decided which faction yet. If I can get a spot as a healer on a raiding team my first choice would be Paladin if Alliance. Shaman or Priest if I play Horde. If I can’t get a healer spot and have to dps, my preference would be Shadow Priest, but will probably be forced into Warlock or Mage. Lol

Very nice guys and gals, its cool to hear what yall have planned :smiley: I know I am personally extremely excited to start playing, its been so long and I am beyond hyped to re-experience Vanilla again (Also to see what i have miss-remembered/forgotten hehe)

I’ll be a druid, most likely. Lowest population - can be pretty fun in PvE and PvP. Hopefully the community isn’t as dismissive as i fear they’ll be. Still deciding on a leveling path. My head tells me Feral, for obvious reasons; but im inclined to go down to insect swarm first - then into balance. I wanna be the heals in a group while leveling, to make it easier. I “could” grab an intellect set while leveling, but i don’t wanna take something from someone out of spec. I don’t think an Insect swarm/omen build would be too much slower than feral - due to scaling. Should be okay i think.

Warrior tank. I remeber doing mc and wanting so badly to tank. Plus warriors are so cool looking. They don’t wear dresses.
