For me probably the new customization options and the level squish
Iâm excited for the new leveling experience. Have a bunch of alts ready to go.
And the convents seem interesting.
Covenants, kinda⌠Also least excited for it, because you canât change them around at will or get certain abilities you want while being with whichever one you prefer out of combatâŚ
Thatâs not how squishes work, sadly.
Idk why people are so obsessed over the 120 numberâŚ
Because thats exactly what it is, just a number.
Essentially just this.
I donât know if I can take more rental abilities - itâs starting to feel even now like Iâm not playing my class anymore, just some generic template that a bunch of generic, shiny abilities get slapped over.
Iâm so sick of expansion-specific abilities, I want to play my class!
I get it. Itâs kinda like the old talent trees. It was nice to have a visual of your progress even if most of it was pretty meaningless. 120 has a lot of gravity to it. Being back to 50, even if itâs the same equivalent, feels like youâre rolling back.
Excited: New contentâŚmaybe a chance to fix what they really messed up with BFA
Least excited: Activision & Ion Hazziskostas & wrong devs still bound to make it go wrong
Holding my breath and just see how appealing it may be,
PS: Enjoying ESO & FFXIV big time
Hey guys! I know thereâs a big hole in the sky that takes us right on to hell, but the planet still has a sword in it. Can I hang back and like try to fix that so that when you return from your Ghostbusters adventures, you will have solid ground to land on?
Exactly! The game play isnât going to change, just the number. I donât care what number is âmax levelâ. Just as long as we have something to work toward and old content was still solo-able.
Mob Level Scaling, Barely if at all notice it.
Mob ilvl scaling, barely if at all notice it
PVP Templates, donât know what that is and I donât PVP much.
Sharding, not really an issue for me as this really concerns people who wants to do World PVP.
Artifact Grind, I grinded away and practically maximized my weapon by the end of the expansion.
World Quests: I donât see why this is bad comparing it to D3. I find WQ and the emissaries far more faster then Dailies.
Mythic+, this is a bad thing? Dungeons are actually challenging now.
Pathfinder: EhâŚin the end I really donât care. I mean will work to unlock flying when its avaliable but its not the be all, end all of this game for me. I mean people play Classic WOW to avoid flying.
I never actually do professions and donât know how they were like as the game progressed from Classic.
The Mission Board in the end is harmless really because of how dumbed down it was in Legion.
Exited?
Zones and stories that donât bore me
Castle Revandreth sounds badass
Building upon the baseline of class design to deliver something more comparable to legion
Concerned?
Blizzard failing to course correct and making something that sucks again
Blizzard failing to invest back into class design
Blizzard making the Soulbond system the pain in the crack it sounds like itâll be
Honestly? The forums.
The expansion itself has piqued my interest but I canât help but look forward to the storm of carnage on the forums. Itâs become my favorite past time, reading stuff here.
I really hope Blizzard doesnât screw up Shadowlands, they already messed up Warcraft Reforged recently, literally reviewed as the worst game EVER. They need to get this right, I know some that will not be returning at all if this fails.
Nothing yet. At this time itâs not good to get excited because anything that could make you feel interested may be cut on release.
In BFA it would be the Corruption and Azerite Trait modifiers. Those are Rental Systems; Temporary, typically absurd, power boosts that wonât be staying for the following expansion onward.
Most: Covenants. They sound fun.
Least: The âun-prunningâ pass adding vanilla stuff back in rather than a proper class retune the game desperately needs.
That and itâs a different team working on shadowlands who made the more well received expansions if memory serves.
The new dungeons, story, and raid.
Iâm most excited for pretty much everything to do with Ardenweld. Iâve always loved the fey and this seems to be the closest weâre going to get in WoW.
Iâm least excited for all the community backlash when anything ends up less than idealized perfection.
