..what are you looking for in a guild?

Im just a random player thats had more then a few years played in retail so I figure Ill post my own hopes and expectations in simillar format that some guilds present thier own recruitments.

What guild Im looking for generally has most of the following…
though most importantly the first

  1. Leadership with integrity to follow thier own rules as posted - without constant “updates” a -stick to your guns- thought process
(why apply to guild you cant trust to follow thier own guidelines)?

An adult oriented/helpful guild with the consideration toward players - be it helpful advice, assistance in dungeons even simple common courtesy goes a long way.

members who enjoy playing in groups be it either quest/dungeons/goofing around/ect - people that play together stay together-?

voice chat is a must - Imo best way to know your guildies is to get up in disco chat and for them to know you - since type chat sarcasm can be so easilly misunderstood sometimes

What I am NOT looking for in a guild…

A “clique” led guild that makes major decisions behind closed doors and/or “updates” thier rules to further advance personal profit/gain or expecting other members to “bend” to thier “expectations” in direct conflict of thier own rules/regs

leadership positions with ideals of “Im an ***hole and that ok - because thats just my way”?.. or often feel need to disrupt dungeon/raid groups with thier personal issues - Id rather avoid that drama this time around.

An “animal farm” (book by George Orwell)

A lack of common social skills or lack of consideration toward other members “If you let the bridge burn dont expect to cross it” imo…also, if its taken you 15yrs and a trip to a convention for somebody to remind you to be “nice” (ill pass) cuz honestly Id hate to wait another 15 before we understand how to work well with others.

-now some people may take offense to that and feel free to do so-

To them Id like to say… “you can flame me up and flame me down quote my words and twist em around”… sry not looking for that either.

thank you for your interest =)

I agree with your post. There are times I jump on discord and I am by myself and people are shy or don’t have reasons of why they don’t use discord. I have not really tried the group thing in the game but I am willing so at least I can talk and get to know folks. I hope some have yak times so that everyone can pipe in and hi I and I am an wow addict.

A good tabard. Preferably black and gold with thunderbolts.

Awesome post, too bad there aren’t more people like you on all servers.
Finding good like minded people is as hard as finding a guild like this.

Not sure if you are alliance or horde but I figured I’d leave this here for you. We are alliance, contact me if interested.

Hi there!!

Evolution is rounding out its raiding group and we are currently looking for a smaller guild with a good amount raid-ready or nearly raid-ready people to merge into ours or individual players (lvl 55+). That said, lower level players are welcome to join as well however raid recruitment is the focus right now. We have a specific comp we are building our raid group around so we are looking for a few: warlocks and mages, two resto druids, a few rogues or feral druids, a shadow priest, and a boomkin. This is a semi-casual progression focused raiding group.

The core of EVO came from a pvp server that was horribly unbalanced. As working adults and parents our time is precious so we rerolled on Atiesh and, eventually, server transferred our 60’s here. Due to starting over and rebuilding EVO on Atiesh we are getting to the first round of endgame raiding a little late.

Why should you join us?

What I love most about Evolution is it’s people. We, the guild leaders, have carefully built a small but great community in which all types of wow players are welcome. Our community is full of laughs, it’s diverse, it’s knowledgeable, experienced, and we have a lot of fun. We’ve built this by emphasizing the quality of the people in the guild matters more than the number of people in it. As a result, our community is made up of mostly adults ranging in age from the mid 20’s to the mid 50’s. If you joined EVO you won’t find toxicity here, and no drama or negative elitism either, You will find a group of accepting people who work hard for each other and support each-others needs as well as the guild’s. For example, currently many of us are working on farming the materials needed to provide all of our raid healers with a Hide of the Wild cloak.

Due to the fact that many of us are working adults, or we have kids, our raid times are as follows. Tuesday we will raid at 8pm server and Sunday at 3pm server. The Tuesday raid will be shorter and last no more than a couple hours. The Sunday raid at 3pm will be our primary raid where we work on the bulk of our progression and as a result will be a longer session.

Loot will be done by a loot council of three. The council will consist of one guild officer and the other two will be chosen randomly at the beginning of each raid. Factors such as attendance, personal performance, the significance of the upgrade, and more will all be considered when rewarding loot.

If this sounds good to you please contact me here or look me up, or another guild leader, in-game and let’s chat. The other guild leaders are: Moonsyndia, Ceraffin, Tenebreus, Bootzy, Nembie, JudiDench, HelenMirren, Syreilyda, and Tkipp.

Thanks!

Valturian - GM of Evolution

I know I’m a bit late to the party, but I figured I’d give my 2 cents and rep my guild. We basically touch on all the points that the OP was looking for. We have been around since day one of Classic on Atiesh and we continue to grow. We have 3 raid teams, raiding different days of the week, and all clearing all content. Our Main Raid team clears all raid content in 2 hours. We have enough members that there are always people to play with and we are far from cliquey.

Check us out!
