I’ve always loved the usage of ‘Electric Counterpoint’ in this and other songs. The original Steve Reich suite of tracks is mind blowing. But also, the way that famous sample has continued to show up over the years in different tracks is pretty cool too.
Here’s a great Royksopp version of Electric Counterpoint III that they did live on KCRW about ten years ago. There used to be a video of the performance on YouTube but that seems to be gone (huge bummer).
The link goes directly to ECIII but to be honest the whole show is great. A quite intimate live masterpiece.

Yup, they are Japanese band with Canadian-chinese vocalist but their songs are mostly English. Most of them are good.
