Scatman John, aka John Larkin (1942 - 1999) a prolific Jazz singer and pianist who rose to prominence in the 90s thru his fusion of Scat Singing and Dance Music, originally got into music to help with his severe stutter, like many the stutter faded when he sang. Sadly passed away right when he was getting noticed from lung cancer, age 57.
