Personally, I think I’m going to use the Dreadwake, because “the boat that doesn’t float” can now be fixed!
EDIT: Judging by all the replies, the vast majority of the community thought mount equipment equips on your mounts. It does not. GG Blizzard, you just have to make everything terrible, don’t you.

A water strider of course.

I’ll be different and use my red strider instead of my blue one.

Thing is will our new water riding mount ability cause us to unmount when we get into combat?
This right here.
Every toon I have that can learn Panda fishing 1 will use the raft.

What i really meant was will it sink like the strider when in combat?
Yes. It will sink like a lead weight.
If it works like the Strider does now, it doesn’t sink upon combat, but upon being hit.

Well, yeah, I believe you’re correct about the hit. I wasn’t thinking that “in combat” doesn’t necessarily mean getting hit.
I’ll probably use the chopper. Simply because I’m often giving guildies a ride somewhere.
[Anglers Raft] because why bother with water walking mount equipment if you can equip [Light-Step Hoofplates] for more mounted speed?
Lookin kinda lame there Strider buddy, 'fraid I can’t fix ya. BLAM
R.I.P. strider

Not only that, but the raft has another plus:
Tapping your jump button increases its speed, at max its actually faster than any water walking.
But I love my aquatic form
Still going to use my Strider…

I’m gonna pop size buffs and stroll across water on my Mighty Caravan Brutosaur, just to ram home the point that any nonsense about “immersion” has been rendered null and void by this utterly dumb change that’s a trojan horse for the “only works below level 120” nerfs that are coming in 9.0.

My raptor, the one from King’s Rest.
It looks too neat not to ride.

But a waterwalking mount is better for situations where you are going between land and water frequently, like Nazmir.
