Which makes warmode feel all the worst due to it’s aggressive oversharding and lack of content.
Funny you say this, this video just popped up on my feed.

I been playing with an older gentleman recently who struggles with not keyboard turning, I’ve trued explaining a few times but he ultimately doesn’t care and I think gets frustrated trying to do strafe style.
But he’s cool and only likes doing skirms and bgs, but fun person to talk with while playing and I dont care if it’s rated or not I’m just trying to get some play in during my limited time.
This is basically what I mean. Some players might be stereotypically “bad”, but they might not care. Some people own it and get on with their fun. And that’s totally fine. It’s just like, it is what it is.
Mop isn’t going to die due to it being “easier” or “harder”. Idk where Nas gets that idea.
The classic versions of the game die because it’s all figured out with 0 balance and the same retail WA needers take their exact set up to old versions of the game.
When everyone knows everything about a game (that L$D / Beastcleave are disgusting) and can min max everything + use WAs to a level they weren’t capable of back then, the game dies.
Add on there are no changes and it’s just worse.
But acting like retail is a better game at a base is huge jokes, the only difference making retail long term playable is it gets changes. If you left bm hunter at s1 level and just never touched a single spec from day 1, retail PvP would implode in a week.
I mean I think this is a generalization. Classic versions are purely for the nostalgia factor but it’s also just an entirely different game pace.
Retail you can do 2-3x the amount of APM you would on Classic. Game is faster paced, extremely reactive, and generally more popular. If you put every single person on classic and didn’t have retail as an option it would thrive because people played it.
I had fun during every iteration of classic, just as a lot of people did, I just think people have gotten too deep into the dopamine mindset of things needing to be done ASAP (retail mindset), and forgot that old WoW was literally an MMO, and you had to have friends, and enjoy playing with other people.
I think I’ve collectively seen more people on classic servers just out in the world chilling, than I have on retail. And that playerbase is much smaller.
And to add to this. Just on MOP Beta alone, I don’t see anyone saying the game is bad for PVE or PVP (barring Robbo but he’s a non factor when it comes to having an opinion on anything ever). Everyone is enjoying the game, and most importantly enjoying their specs. The fact that I can log onto a buggy beta and have more fun playing my WW than I’ve had playing WW for the last 6 or 7 years is pretty funny. The specs feel complete, they don’t feel niche, and most importantly every spec is actually enjoyable.
I mean MOP will die because of retail mindset in Classic. Back during Wrath/Cata/MOP/etc, we didn’t just push for endgame stuff (barring a select few). We took our time, enjoyed the stuff we did, and had fun. Obviously times change as people became adults.
However, saying the games are figured out is also incorrect. Every season is going to be different up UNTIL the final one, as we are playing on the final patch of each expansion from the start. Some specs are going to be kings in both PVE and PVP far earlier than they originally were (e.g. WWs will be absolute monsters all throughout MOP because of the 5.4 WW being early), and that’s going to shift a lot of things around. Ultimately, these things don’t matter, but saying it’s figured out is disingenuous to what it was like back at the start of those expacs.
ive been watching several mop classic pvp streams and im still on the fence. i like the pace of mop classic BUT there has been no mention of any solo mode being offered and if thats the case i wont be playing it. ill never go back to using LFG ever
This might be the only time you’ve said something I can actually agree with.
I think MOP is actually a great time to put a 1 round shuffle in for PVP. Even if it’s an unrated thing. Just being able to pop on and hit a few games before work real fast is a good way to introduce people to MOP, who’ve never experienced it before.
how hard can it be? the private server peeps were able to do it. anyway yeah mop is gonna need some kind of solo mode or else like everyones been saying around here prolly dead in a month or so
Not having a soloq mode is not going to kill MOP. A lot of people have already come back for it, and are going to play it throughout.
peeps said the same about wrath, cata, but ok ig we’ll wait and see.
This is not true at wall. MoP was the reason why the game was so bloated we got the WoD prunning. Homogenization at its peak. Everyone had everything and more.
Just take a warrior and the amount of offensive and defensive cds, cc, mobility. Retail warrior is a more balanced aproach compared to MoP and its not a warrior only problem.
No pvp wasnt slower pace, specislly when abominations like warrior, stampede hunter, destro lock, ascendance shaman existed across the entire expansion. Most People only want MoP because their favorite spec was OP, had something OP during its cycle.
i just want glorious tyranny too bad its not transferrable
Dont worry with the current trend 3s will be dead in a few years and we will get some of the old stuff put back into the game, probably. Although Im not sure I agree with that
Why do you even bother making such a disingenuous arguement. No one had everything. There was no 1 size fit all spec in MOP.
Every spec had its own carved out niche, and the specs were so well designed that they fit those niches perfectly. Pruning happened in WOD because people complained about the amount of buttons, not because everyone had everything.
I’d any day rather deal with a MOP war than a retail war. MOP wars are punishable, retail wars are only punishable if they decide they’re allowed to be.
PVP was substantially slower paced. Just because things had their niche moments in the expac one shotting people with absurdly overtuned and buggy abilities doesn’t mean it was like that the whole expac. Stampede hunter existed for a very brief moment, and they don’t one shot anyone. Warriors also had that same moment of toxicity for a brief moment, and it was slaughtered. This is a 5.4 patch on 5.0, these things don’t exist on the beta.
‘https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2475987119’ If you disagree.
Name one person who says this.
I doubt it will have any impact. It will go the way wrath did and be dead not long after launch.
While I loved MoP when it was current content, I don’t have the time to play both retail and classic. I really wish the two weren’t so separated. Should have been phased content.
Its ok if you love mop brother you dont need to yap for no reason. But saying pvp mop was better and class design was peak is just so lol.
Have fun dealing with the same bs as back in 2013
Idk just have a look at all the other classic expansions and its pvp ladder to find everyone playing top tier already solved pvp.
wotlk classic arena was a massive disappointment, the most popular/favored version of the classic series and pop in arena was dead. super disappoinginting after spending a lot of time leveling on that garbage and then honor grinding, proff grinding, macros etc.
Yea, I really wanted to try it out, but the unfortunate time commitment didn’t make it practical. I played it for about a month. The first few weeks were somewhat enjoyable, but I knew it was only going to get worse. Given how good some PvE gear was later in the expansion as well, I can’t imagine grinding out that stuff as well just to get gear on a single character. =/
lol its a game thats not going to happen.
its been “in development” for I don’t know how many years now and honestly they should be taken to court over how many fools they’ve scammed out of money for nothing.
7-8 years.
It’s also a studio that didn’t exist 7-8 years ago either.
Guess all the progress they’ve had since announcement just doesn’t exist and the testing being done is all faked?
I tried out their free battle royal from years ago when they were doing server stress testing and put out a free little fantasy BR pvp mode and it was fun.
Comparing that to their current testing systems, they’ve made a lot of progress.
