As the title says… What are we waiting for?
The player base to die and drop even more than the current state of raid logging?
For every casual dad alt guild and their 5th alt to have 252 weapons?
For Dark and darker to consume half the playerbase?
Haven’t enough of the current player base abandoned Wrath enough to play an ‘unofficial’ game mode Hardcore. Please make this make sense.

No one really cares everyone knows ToGC is dead on arrival. You’ll be back to farming Ulduar for your 3rd and 4th healers legendary and people will quit anyways having to do that again. Blizzard has no reason to care either as they know all the boomers will be back for ICC no matter what so they can backpedal into some bosses.

What doesn’t make sense to me is why you think this is a bad thing. If people stopped playing WoW to play WoW, they will still come back to WoW when there’s new stuff to do. If anything, the fact that there are multiple game versions for people to interact with it probably helping more than hurting. Back in the day when you raid logged you just played a different game. Now we’re all stuck in Azeroth lol.
Probably prepare for a steep drop-off in players a month into ToC. We are so incredibly overgeared for ToC, Heroic 25m is going to be a cake walk without significant changes to the health pools of each boss (not like this is going to generate fun). IIRC, even Heroic ToC was considered an easier raid difficulty than the hardmodes of Ulduar.
ToC was not a fun raid. You spend the entire night in a single arena until the last boss, and then you went back to Ulduar to farm fragments. This is going to spell burnout for a lot of raiders.
Hopefully we aren’t in ToC listening to Tirion yell at us for very long.
I’m still not sure why they are making the Ulduar phase extra long, so that we are extra burnt out on Ulduar by the time we start the ToGC phase.
They want to give us Naxx syndrome all over again, but with Ulduar.
I do not understand the pairing of trying to make Ulduar valuable to keep running into ToGC and making the Ulduar phase extra long.
Making us want to keep doing Ulduar removes the need to make the phase extra long.
At least we won’t have that pesky RDF causing people to stick around.

The misstep of Ulduar in OG was Ulduar didn’t last long and ToTGC trivialized the loot (on top of all the nerfs) so they felt like giving Ulduar time to breath and be appreciated was better. And to be fair there are still guilds out there that haven’t full cleared everything, ours included since we still haven’t gotten 0 light down. Doesn’t award more gear, but it is a progression boss.
As far as I’m concerned the playerbase is absolutely ridiculous on their content consumption in Classic though. We’re at 13 weeks of Ulduar right now, which traditionally is roughly half a tier’s length so it wouldn’t really be crazy for it to go twice as long in that sense (but I’m sure it won’t). Hell, Dragonflight launched at the end of November and they’re still not on the second raid yet.
Blizzard stated that Ulduar is going to last longer than it did originally, it lasted ~4 months so we’re gonna have at least another month of Ulduar.
Better get comfy.
i mean who cares? ulduar got old and stale for alot of people weeks ago esp if your guild was still treying to get HMs imk over it they need to eather nerf it or put p3 on PTR

Last week they did say the TOC PTR would be out in a few weeks, so theres that.
It’s that kind of attitude that is detremental to WoW, you want to zoom through content even though it hasn’t been out that long. If it can’t hold your attention then play other games, there’s nothing with playing other games. I feel like if it were up to you WotLK would be over in 9 months.
