They scale extremely well with gear, especially armor pen. Biggest issue I had late game was being threat capped in some fights. However, there will be very limited spots for DPS wars
Never looked a logs from that expansion i see?
The are just above ret paladins and shadow priests in damage, so bottom tier.
It’s still the most popular class in tbc. Each 25 man raid will take 3 warriors: one of each arms, fury, and prot. Arms does good dps but more importantly supplies a melee buff to the target and usually keeps up commanding shout, prot warriors are still the defacto raid boss tanks, and fury does great dps and supplies battle shout. Here is what I remember about them from my tbc days: 1. Best aoe melee class hands down. 2. Warriors are great in arena once you get some gear. 3. Arms is the a blast in raids. You will need a swing timer and practice your rotation but once you get it it’s keeps you active and aware the whole time as well as keeping commanding shout up. Fury is fun too but it’s real easy to fall asleep as you don’t have many important jobs aside from killing stuff.
That is not a for sure thing, lol. A prot warrior is gonna have a spot.
However, there is zero reason to bring fury, the other 2 specs provide the same shout.
Arms is not necessarily a needed either as the top 4 dps classes are warlock, hunter, mage and elemental and thats what raids will be stocked with and arms debuff doesnt affect them. Leavings arms debuff only affecting a tiny few melee in the raid…so hardly a must have.
You don’t need a paladin tank in SWP or BT, at all. Ferals get nerfed in SWP so prot becomes to go-to, though ferals are better OT’s.
Its not strictly itemization. For pally’s anyway its the fact that they can’t gear for threat and mitigation so they have to sacrafice one to the other until higher gear levels where they have enough baseline mitigation on items.
You sound really upset. Show me on the doll where the warrior hurt you
Edit: Oh you’re a Ret paladin, haha. That makes a lot of sense… and it’s unfortunate because dps wars will still get taken first.
they are quite fun to play, from what i remember. i spent a lot of gold switching between prot and fury, but sometimes id just dual wield as prot and spam devastate. that even works on one of the bosses in kara. haha.
That’s all I saw.
Under what special conditions can warriors use the extremely weak heals of second wind and blood thirst?
Oh wait, druids and paladins can self heal any time, anywhere, with no conditions, all the way to full health.
“Semantics”, look it up and learn what it means.
(Can’t believe I actually wasted time explaining that).
That’s all you saw? Get your eyes checked then. You were proven wrong and refuse to admit it. All I see from your end is feet stamping. Grow up.
This statement is wrong. Yet you remain a child and refuse to admit to being wrong. It’s called using your words. Say what you mean and mean what you say. It isn’t difficult. Just requires a small amount of brain power that you apparently lack.
I’m sure I’ll be coming back to quote this in the not too distant future lol
Ok. go look at the logs now. Nothing is changing.
I wouldn’t recommend playing one in TBC unless you love the class. Fury gets nerfed to the ground going from god tier to mediocre. The only spec that improves in raids is Arms because they have a desirable debuff and can put some points in flurry now. Prot is about the same as they are the best overall MT except for SwP where they are still a viable option. I said best overall MT because there are a couple bosses where bears are better, but there are also some bosses where bears are just awful on like Illidan with shear. The biggest problem won’t be the class being weak, but the class being overpopulated.
Arms debuff does affect hunters which is just about the whole point to bringing one
Meh, I already broke my cardinal rule by arguing with pedantic people who choose to be willfully obtuse.
You may go about your day feeling that you have won the internet son.
For pvp arms is good, raiding you maybe benched a lot.
Just an opinion, and it depends on what you want to play a Warrior for.
If its to tank, my personal opinion is skip it, for me the Pally is the class to be for tanking. Yeah are there a few fights they are not the best for, sure, but for all the other fiights, they excel. And as others have said, since Warriors were the defacto standard for tanking in Classic, there is going to be a ton of them around.
For DPS, they are not the gods they were, they get nerf’d to the ground in TBC.
Again just an opinion.
Those arrogant and entitled Warrior mains are the ones that are re-rolling to Hunters and Locks for BC, so you’ll still see them.
Private server logs? lul k.
