I’m a young collector and I want to ask the community what are things that collectors collect in WoW? Also, do you collect things that others normally don’t collect? What is a list of things that can be collected in WoW? Thanks for your comment in advance :).
Edit: I’m asking for a list of the category of things that people collect, like: mounts, pets, toys… not each individual item like each mount, or each pets.
Honestly, that is quite the list you’re asking for. This game has been out for 20 years. You can collect a plethora of things. Your best bet is to play the game, learn whats what, and go from there.
Moderation friend. You have a long way to go if you’re as new as it shows.
Some things people collect: Mounts, pets, toys, and thats just the simple stuff.
Press Shift + P, then see what toys or mounts you’d like to collect. If you need more info as to where and how to collect them, type them into WoWhead and read the comment section of that item, toy or mount.
It will give you a detailed account of how to collect those items. Happy hunting!
I collect items that can be read. Just started recently and a good library already, not only is it a collection but its cool/funny/lore to read when done with content and looking for something to do with my time, and there is a ton of items that can be read so its a good hunt or gold sink from buying rare ones from the AH
Listen to me iv played since 2006, collecting stuff is a waste of time, since you spend time and energy collecting stuff, blizz will put it on shop or twitch for free

Asking for each mount, each pets, each toy would be crazy…

I personally work on mounts, sometimes battle pets but not that serious, certain pets by theme per my hunters, sometimes transomog and toys, and acheivments mostly with my main.
If you have a hunter you want to get hunter pets with, I suggest Petopia, there is a plethora of information there to look up pets and where/how to get them. I believe the site warcraftpets is the one to use for looking up battle/vanity pets if you want to collect those as well.
There are a lot of other things people like to collect too, like toys and transmog as well.
It’s all a waste of time, if we are playing WoW (or in the forums!) we have time to burn.
Mounts, pets, transmogs. They have their own collection lists.
I remember reading about a guy who collected eyeballs. His character had a one-person guild, and he’d invite people to join (and then quit) his guild so that they could see his “museum of eyeballs”.
This is pretty underrated. Maybe I’m just a hoarder, but I have a fair amount of bank space dedicated to random books haha
