I made a few trial characters on classic. On each realm in the horde starting area there would be a few level 60 mages that would be surrounded by level 1’s. The mage would make a portal and the level 1’s would enter then after a while more level 1’s would appear and the same thing would happen. They seemed well organised with the level 1’s often standing in a line to wait for the portal. Anyone know what is going on there? Just curious.

I was wondering that too. I’ve only seen it on high pop servers. I just rolled an alt on a few to look at some things.
My first thought was something to do with botting, but it may be selling some sort of service. There were a constant stream of level 1s taking the portals.
Doing Valentines Day event and farming chocolate boxes for buffs in raid. That’s how bad the meta is for Classic atm.

The initial box they come in, the one you get from the guard, isn’t.
So have a lvl 1 alt get box. If chocolate box is inside, trade it and hope you get what you need.
Then delete the lvl alt, remake, and repeat.

They are even using bots to farm this en masse. The funny part is that many thinks those translate to ~30 hit rating (2% hit at 70) in TBC when it’s gonna stays at 20 hit rating (~1.25% at 70)
They are free to do so, but are not free of the consequences of their actions. I won’t stop them, but secretly hope for someone to do God’s Work

On my sever it’s horde populated mostly, so I have a rather good time savaging the chocolate farmers, botters, ZG boost services, account sellers, and the like.
Alliance has like one guy on Kurinnaxx alliance that sells boosts, tho in the last few days there has been another in trade selling runs for Mara, SM and stocks. I don’t think he’s very successful because most of the groups in trade are just normal groups. We also don’t have any goldDKP groups alliance side that I am aware of. Although the horde are all about the goldDKP.
I get constant spam from gold sellers, so I’m thinking they have gotta be looking at wowlogs or something to target you…
That’s the only thing that makes sense.
I report any 60 mage I see.

It is the same buff category as Blasted Lands and Zanza IIRC, so it is only a better option in select cases. Getting 2% Hit opens up quite a few things for the Physical DPS classes and casters without mana issues like the Spell Power over raw Intellect/Spirit.
As a Tank I could probably make use of the 2% Hit, but honestly the Zanza buff is just that much better item budget so I don’t care that much.

you can have both zanza and chocolate
and it’s physical hit only.
Interesting, because I thought the chocolates were same buff slot as Blasted Lands which also share with Zanza.
And yeah I indicated as much with the Hit when I said Physical DPS.
