Forget the meta, which specs are you having the most fun on for each role? Tank, heal, ranged DPS, and melee DPS? Which specs are you really liking the design of this expansion/patch with hero talents and all that?
I think for me:
Tanks: Brewmaster (Aspect of Harmony) and Protection Paladin (Lightsmith, I know itās meta but itās fun). In organised groups tanks probably feel the best. I like Harmony for the visuals of the cool jade wings. Lightsmith rocks for the armament visuals and āsupport tankā theme.
DPS: BM Hunter with Dark Ranger rocks. Itās something Iāve wanted since I joined in Korthia patch. It gives BM a strong opening button.
The Easy Mode Demonology Warlock build is one of the most enjoyable specs Iāve enjoyed in casual play. Soul Harvester feeds into it well!

Warlock has always been one of my go to classes and it has always been Destruction spec for me, but after a long absence from BFA to TWW coming back I was surprised to find I am really clicking with Demo. No idea if it is āmetaā or not but it is a heck of a lot of fun to play right now.
Iām playing Frostfire/fire AoE mage right now. Not only do I get to see one enemy burn, but multiples within a flame patch.
and a freakinā comet storm and meteor.
Sunfury Fire Mage - 100% Hyperthermia feels so good
Colossus Arms Warrior - Demolish is one of my favorite skills to use
MM/DR Hunters felt great before they nerfed them into oblivion.
For dps, all the mage specs, ele and enhance, ww monk. These are the specs that are very good.
The not quite great but good are ret paladin, demo and destro, dk specs, havoc, outlaw rogue, fury warr. On the verge of great but missing something to really take it up a notch compared to the others.
The rest of the dps spec vary from decent to good, good thing is that the only spec that I would consider truly awful is balance druid, but only one out of all is good. Balance druid is a damn disaster though, itās embarrassing what this spec has become in tww, it was so much more fun in DF.
There are still many improvements to be done though, even for specs that I ranked high.

Prot Warrior Tanks, Ret Pally Melee DPS, BM Hunter Ranged DPS, Resto Shaman Heals.
i like my survival huntress a lot and discipline priest, i dont play tanks
I only really play DPS, and only a handful of specs, but I have the most fun right now with (in no particular order): Ret, WW, DH, and Enh.
Asn, MM, Arms, and Frost(DK-2H), just arenāt quite there for the fun. MM is damned close, though. Itās hilarious to stack mastery and just out-range AoE mechanics like Mr. Smiteās stun and Moiraās shadow thing.
Healer: Restoration Druid is an absolute blast, and I donāt see myself maining any other healing spec ever again.
DPS: Beast Mastery Hunter or Augmentation Evoker. I canāt choose. Theyāre both SUPER fun.
What they have in common is relatively simple rotations and a lot of utility.
Demo lock, fury warrior, and ret pally are all fun for me.
I donāt like healing and the tank nerfs at the start of the expansion killed my interest in tanking.
for hunter I wouldnāt say BM is the most fun, but itās so easy mode itās ridiculous. oh look you have full up time and mostly spam 3 buttons for more damage with no downsides like aimed shot cast time, and never really run out of focus.
Frost DK the reaper one, not sure but really loving it. Shadow priest with the shadow spec i do love the black hole effect.
Fun is entirely subjective.
I like WW because itās more or less the same as itās always been, but with the added random flurries. WW is my safe bet.
Iām running demo lock for some 8 delves and enjoying that too.
Also living my best Sylvanas life with my Dark Ranger Marks hunter.
For warlock, Iām currently really enjoying a demonology build using soul harvester. This build is implosion focused mainly for Delves. I find it really fun to just blow the little bastards upš¤Ŗ sometimes.
