I’ve seen alot of people explode reloading their Goblin Mortar. The times I have reloaded(over 10+) I have yet to explode, also I don’t think I’ve been near a forge reloading it, and the mortar has always read ‘no charges’. In gist, I’m asking if it’s always a chance for the mortar to explode regardless of it being empty or near a forge?
The real question is why you would ever bother reloading it when there’s a well-known chance it will instakill your character. It has nothing to do with charge or where you do it. It just has a ~5-10% chance of exploding and so you got lucky it hasn’t killed you yet, but it will if you keep doing it, that’s it.

Yeah I would never do this on a hardcore character even if the chance was 0.01%
