I think we can all agree that #SomeChanges is a great thing! Keeping the original authenticity of classic wow is important, but additional features are not unwelcome.
What kind of adjustments or quality of life things from retail would you like to see added to Wrath?
(cough AOE looting please!! Especially in Icecrown farms… ohmygod)
Due to the titan weapon being specifically given to the first earthen king to create and give life to his brethren Val’anyr, Hammer of the Ancient Kings should only be usable by a dwarf.
It’s hard to say whether we can or not. I sort of feel that #NoChanges will show more or less why Retail is the path forward.
Cross-realm/cross-faction grouping and Communities (but I’d like communities to have different colored text, so that people can see they function exactly how guilds do (Oh! Maybe add Community Tabards and Community Banks).
Quality of Life (QOL) is just a friendly way of saying (CTL) Catering to Laziness. Retail is where QOL leads. No need to do much of anything to get anything.
The point of a game is to be fun, and what most forget is that the fun is derived from the difficulty to attain victory. Never having to wait, never having to suffer consequence for failure, and never having to do more than show up and go through a few easily remembered hoops to attain the “food pellet” removes difficulty from the game and thus the fun from attaining victory.
Why do kids’ games no longer interest you? Because they have no difficulty. Think about it.
QoL means something different to everyone. Considering this next phase of the Classic experiment is going to mostly be about speed running content just as was TBC and SOM, any QoL changes should probably cater to that.
Free unlimited respecs anywhere out of combat is probably the biggest thing they could do. Get that group content going faster and smoother with the flexibility to respec to missing/needed/niche roles/talents on the fly, and flip back to solo spec while questing or whatever you do in that expansion.
Ain’t that the truth.
But I can’t get started on that today.
I’m still salty about Wintergrasp (not for me or my server but for the out-of-whack faction balance servers) but hope that beta players can get through to Blizz.
Whatever you say, junior. “Improve” is just another way of saying “QOL.” Wisdom comes with age, kid, and that is from already experiencing what you are seeing for the first time. The entire reason Classic was done was due to all the “improvements” that diluted the game down the minutia of content in retail today. “You can still do all that came before” is often the lame excuse for making it irrelevant.
None… #somechanges is the worst thing that can happen to WOTLK. Too many people want changes so if you want all of those changes go get em in retail, the’re there for you to enjoy.
Let’s not be ignorant enough to encompass any potential for positive change as all change being bad just because “bAcK iN mY dAy sTrUgGlE wAs fUn”. “QOL” isn’t synonymous with “easy”.
You weren’t the only one playing in '04 and up, and plenty then sucked or was as broken as much as some of the bloat they’ve incorporated now.
