I would say if you’re doing older content make sure you have run it atleast once before you try to do some of the more important roles like tanking or healing. This community can be really trigger-happy on the vote to kick function and you may find yourself booted out of the dungeon if you make a mistake or even make someone angry.
Probably not something a newer player would like to hear but eh its true.
Back in Vanilla it was very common to buff and Rez others. Back then, most classes had buffs so it was kind of a swap. Since then, many buffs were taken away and you don’t see it as much.
Wow gms are bias.
Disregard what ever follows “Look I’ve been playing for two years and…”
If you see someone coming to kill your almost-dead rare, stop dpsing until he/she joins the fight.
Don’t stand on fire
If you see an UD rogue questing alone and he/she knows you’re there, never try to gank him. they are giving you a pass and breaking their trust would result in them camping you or any ally within the area as you just started a chain reaction
Only elves may dance over the mailboxes.
If you see someone being overrun by mobs and you can take the pressure off of them, do it. This has made me a few friends over the years and I do it regardless of faction.
Less a rule and more just a request, if you see a tank trying to down mobs near a resource node/treasure chest don’t drag a chain of mobs over, dump aggro, loot the node and then run away. At least stay and help out and then ask the tank if they were planning on looting said node/treasure chest.

Maybe it was just my server back in Vanilla, but “No combat looting” seemed to be a rule.
People got super upset if someone looted during combat.
If someone buffs or heals you in passing, jump to say thanks. Jump to say hi when crossing a friendly’s path.
Also, /wave at the Ally. Then kill the Ally
Wut?
Kaima: I dont need to “ask permission” to use resource nodes.
Nodes are multitap, remember?
If the tank dies, it’s the healers fault.
If the healer dies, it’s the tanks fault.
If the DPS dies, it’s their own damn fault.
NEVER.
INVITE.
RAGNAROS or AZRALON.
EVERRRRRR!
Don’t do it, it’s not worth it. I don’t know how they got that high of a score, but they sure as heck aren’t going to be good. Even granting the idea that they are a good player, the latency errors that can occur on either end from inviting them are not worth dealing with.
It’s the self-proving stereotype. Don’t invite them, and leave if they outnumber you.
If you have a rez, and you see a dead ally, you rez em, even at the cost of your own safety.
I prefer someone ride me in travel form; I think it is hilarious. I always hope on other druids as well.
