What are some cool pets that not everyone uses I should be keeping eye out for as I level?

I haven’t leveled a Hunter since MoP so I have kind of forgotten all the cool looking pets you can get earlier in the game. And every video on hunters pets show the same 5-10 pets that everyone always uses.

So what are some cool pets to tame, but that not everyone uses?

there’s some green infernals and core hounds somewhere in shadowmoon valley in bc, they’re pretty cool

Uvuros is the green core hound, he’s amazing.

There’s a bear in The Hinterlands that’s tamable and looks undead. I think his name is Ol’ Muddle or something really similar. Rare spawn, so you might have to camp a but, but luckily The Hinterlands is godawful and everyone avoids it.

One of my favorites that I use more than any other is Fenryr, the wolf boss from the Legion trial dungeon. Once you hit max level, go in on Mythic, kill him, and a tamable version will spawn right behind him. He’s got a super unique look.

I also don’t see too many people with the MoP challenge porcupines.

Pick up a Mecha-Bond Imprint Matrix to tame mechanical animals and go tame the chicken, mechanostrider, rabbit, sheep, and more. You can even “craft” 4 versions of the Iron Juggernaut boss from Siege of Orgrimmar.

The pets are the best thing about playing a hunter, imo. I love going for unique and rare versions. Have fun!

I have not seen anyone using that wolf corehound from Azuremist. Kurgen I think. Have to be beast master to tame and use it. Really have not seen anyone using the worms from Wrath, but not sure if you can get them lower level.

This is a good site to explore for pets

I use a feathermane, which takes a tomb you buy at the hunting lodge to tame…you are seeing less of them because of the requirements now to obtain the tomb. Just an idea, but petopia is a good place to start. Good luck on whatever you choose!

I’m quite fond of my cursed goat pet. I never see anyone with it, or any goat pets for that matter.

I have a turtle pet I think is cool. It’s basically one of the MoP dragon turtles but with a different shell. It comes from taming the boss Ghamoo-ra, which I assume is a Gamera reference, hence the naming.

there is also a yellow core hound which you don’t see as much as the green, and red.

If you have mechanical pet training

I tamed the green one when this toon was a goblin and actually got to keep my green Voltron Lion Team inspired pet when I race changed.
