Relatable. Although my change of heart I think came primarily with age. I don’t find prestigious mounts something I would want to ‘show off’ anymore, but that is just a ‘me’ thing. I get that releasing an exact copy of a challenge or hard to obtain mount would disgruntle some.
Nowadays I go for whatever mount matches my glam - or has ride-along so my lazy partner can just hop on and tab to YouTube on the way to the next map event.
Jade, the farseer is the only one i can think of that has no other mounts on the same rigging. I hope they put in more rabbit mounts, but it’s unique til then.
…and it’s higher-speed variant that’s just a coat of paint and a hula-girl doll. I don’t think I’ve seen any other mount properly match the old helicopter aesthetic. Also, shame it doesn’t work right with skyriding. Propeller stays in while flying… unless they fixed that.
Used that thing for YEARS. it was added back during TBC, but it’s a classic that stayed that way.
The most unique are the skyships, several enineering mounts, the alliance motorcycle, the warp stalker, the rooster, the creepy ur’zul, some aquatic/fish, and the Chinese New Year mounts. Also that TW floating book mount.
The Antoran Gloomhound. It looks really creepy when it’s gliding, it’s like you’re riding a sentient, intelligent creature that could walk on 2 legs and talk to you.
Sure it’s another golem mount, but the Rocket Shredder 9001 I’m starting to see more and more people ride around looks pretty unique. Who cares if the rigging is the same, it’s a very unique design.
