I’m debating on Human or Night Elf for a tank.
How much tank debuff swapping is in classic raiding and does shadowmeld help drop aggro when swapping or is that a bad idea?
Nelf has a dodge? racial I recall. I think that racial makes them the best tank eventually. Or maybe It was Dwarf due to their racial.
Shadowmeld doesn’t drop aggro in vanilla. Human has the best racials (especially if you plan to dps at all).
You don’t really want dodge while tanking as a warrior, you need the rage and dodging doesn’t generate rage.
My advice everybody. Play the race you like the most, tank ragnaros as a gnome lol.

Human has the weapon skill racials, is the best choice.
Human for weapon skill.
My personal choices:
Human for any kind of PVE dps, most of your BIS weapons will be swords and maces, their racials are too good to pass up if you intend to DPS seriously.
Nelf for tanking, but not for the dodge like everyone else says, it’s like 1 percent so who cares, what makes them good is that nature resist. It may seem negligible but once you hit AQ you’ll feel it.
Dwarf or Gnome for pvp, it’s a toss up honestly, depends whether you wanna be able to break roots and slows as a gnome (Which is imperative because CC is a warrior’s worst nightmare), or remove debuffs like bleeds and poisons as a dwarf.
Shadowmeld is not usable in combat, human racial is practically tailor made for warriors and male nelf warriors just might be the goofiest looking characters in the entire game.
Human>Dwarf>Nelf. If you are min/maxing.
Honestly, play the one you like best, all are capable of tanking all content.

I thought later on (which is why I said eventually) from my memory, the rage generation isn’t so much the issue, plus the armor bonus from dwarf isnt, and it becomes more so about as much mitigation as possible.
Go dwarf, the frost resistance will help you with tanking Saph, HAHAHA
Worgen so you can be a Worgen Furry Warrior, 1% more crit man, Edit: note this as a joke because alliance did not have furries back in classic so only a Tauren can be a Furry warrior

Gnome because of when you finally get dreadnaught and thunderfury
Humans have best racials but shadowmeld let’s you safely afk while you answer your door for pizza delivery.
Gnome or dwarf. Best racials in game.
NELFs get the awesome jump flip.
