Personally, I’d say Human if you wanna be burly muscle dude, Kul Tiran if you wanna be a scowling truck driver with beer gut, or Void Elf if you wanna be a fitness model pretty boy. They can all look great, but tastes are subjective. Here’s a quick visual comparison:

I tried to play my 2nd character ever, an Elf fury warrior and got PVE roflstompped over and over again in Bastion after I picked him up to advance to SL cap. They have been nerfed to nothing lately. My DK and my 1st toon, a ret Pally have no difficulty with any of it. I even maxed out this guy the other day. Fury Warrior, and Arms Warrior for that matter is not playable in SL PVE.
Idk the BE feels like hes about to give some beach bod promo.
Well I did say the Void Elf would fall into the “fitness model pretty boy” category. 
Yeah then a beach bod bike commercial came on yt and bam.
