What addon do YOU wish existed?

I’m looking for a new project and wanted to do something completely new to me: making a WoW addon.

So, I’m looking for some suggestions (in either retail or classic) for an addon that doesn’t currently exist, but that you wish existed.

one addon that had Farmhud, Dominos and Gathermate2 in one…but not addons, actually part of the games UI itself so the addon creator doesnt just decide to retire and now its all gone

One that shows node names on the mini map without mouse over

I asked about this once and dont think it exists

One that targets bots and flags them for world pvp.

A replacement for mogit that does not have bugs.

I’d like one where you can select an achievement, and it will tell you what steps are needed to complete the requirements, and tells you which you’ve already done. So you don’t have to keep tabbing out all the time. Not complete hand holding like Autopilot, just an in-game guide you can bring up.

How are all these things not baseline features?

Blizz relys on free labor to fix their game for them.

I mean, not a new addons, an addon that quit receiving updates at start of expansion was Actionbarprofiles. Which was a little addon that saved action bar setups with spell placements and keybinds based on class in a spot next to the gear manager.

Might be a bit redundant though, considering DF is going to save your actionbars with talent tree saves.

Good on you! That’s wonderful. I wish an addon existed that would “reverse” the level squish, so every level 1-70 would be continuously mapped to 1-140 come Dragonflight.

Do miss the Hadouken Addon from years ago, be cool if it got updated to work in SL/DF. Made playing mage, ele, lock and monks just a bit more fun.

A good replacement for the objective tracker.

World Quest Group Finder. (I know they broke that.)

Group finder addon for low levels so they can find somebody in the same zone and on the same elite quest.

ping indicator next to m+groups i apply to.

i can’t be bothered remembering which server has what ping and i’m not about to make a spreadsheet :wink:

dosnt even have to be smart let me set it for each server once and thatll be good enough. green yellow red - ezpz

A consistently updated alternative to BattleGroundEnemies. Especially in epic BGs it’s almost impossible to keep track of priority targets without something like it.

WoW-Pro used to have this function, but it’s been broken for a while.

They mostly just update the questing part and major xpac features like Covenant campaigns now.

I would like an addon that embelishes and enhances our portraits. I would enlarge them first, then maybe remove the background, and I would show more of their bodies, not just their heads. But most importantly I would like custom animations for them. Like if they’re resting I would like to see them reading a book or smoking a pipe, or getting distracted by a passing butterfly…

I would love to see an addon for the /who feature, since this apparently hasn’t worked since Legion when sharding began.
