What Add-Ons do you use?

Other than the ones that most people have , what are a few add-ons you have that are really a QoL add or something you really love for aesthetics/gameplay??

I only use like 5 add-ons now and looking to try some new ones that I might not have heard but make the game “better”.

Mm some of my favorites are:

Z-Perl Unit Frames - Prettier UI. There’s a lot of UI changing addons, but I like the style of this one.

BeQuiet - Deletes and mutes the annoying talking pop up windows in WQs and such. Lifesaver!

MyRolePlay - I don’t actually RP at all in game, or even read other’s profiles. But I still like making my own for my characters. And it’s neat seeing surnames appear in chat. It’s just an extra layer of flavor.

TellMeWhen - Probably my favorite QoL one. Really helps with tracking main abilities, dots, buffs, etc.

The bare essentials I’d argue.

Healbot, DBM, Skada, MDT, GTFO, and RaiderIO.

I dislike the idea of bag addons or ui overhauls vanilla is fine by me.

Bagbrother
LooterTutor
Mik Scrolling Battle Text

In classic I use questie because you need to subvert the tedium, and a threat meter since you kind of need one for group content.

In retail I free ball it though, no add-ons and feels fine.

Those are the main ones. I also use REPorter for BG’s and it’s pretty nice to have for call outs on inc.

hekili.

that’s right I said it. Sometimes a reminder of where you are in your rotation is nice, or a guide to help with a class/spec you’re new to is great.

I’ve just defaulted to ElvUI for my aesthetic UI stuff again. I like to try different ones now and again, but it’s such a good default just because of the sheer amount of options. The interesting looking ones elsewhere are often very barebones on what you can actually change about them via options menus.

I also run Narcissus. It’s a neat little character pane replacement, more or less. There’s also screenshot tools that I ignore most of the time, but I do like the character pane.

I run Emote Splitter. Clearly made for RP, but it’s good for anytime you end up typing over the character limit. It just lets you keep typing and will split the post up automatically when you hit enter (doesn’t bypass the spam filter in Trade and such, ofc). There are other addons that do the same thing but that’s the one I ended up grabbing.

That’s really all I’m running outside of some typical stuff like DBM, Details, Weakauras, and I guess TRP3 – though I mostly use that in the same way Asana uses MRP. I haven’t actually roleplayed seriously since WoD.

An addon I am not running but have heard of and need to give a go is Plater. It’s a nameplate addon, but apparently it has options that will show who interrupted a cast, so you can actually manage interrupt orders cleanly. In the past, I’ve -always- opted to not assign interrupt orders, because they inevitably get out of order due to whatever circumstances so it’s easier and safer to just make people say out loud “I’ve got next” or something similar. But if the addon works how I’m imagining it, maybe I wouldn’t feel the need to do things that way.

RothUI and SexyMap, for I like the aesthetic of Diablo, and I have even altered some of the fonts in game to be akin thereto.
There is TRP as well, but that, or MRP, are hardly a thing folk hither would not have.

All the things.

Gotta find the all the collectables I don’t use.

What does GTFO even yell at you for that DBM isn’t already yelling at you for?
That’s always bothered me. Seems like the 2 addons would have a metric crapload of overlap.
(But I’m saying that as someone who hasn’t used GTFO)

I assign one of my reflexes to act on other mechanics.

If my screen is flashing red I assign my sight to react with thought.

I hear a warning blare I move on instinct or muscle memory without input from my thoughts.

Sounds crazy but the more things that become muscle memory the easier it is to categorize in my mind.

lmao.

Tukui, Details, Decursive, Healer Protection.

I recommend Healer Protection. You will say “Danger ahead” when running dangerously close to being out of mana, “I need mana” when you’re completely out, and a message appears when the healer dies. All of this is costumizable with percentages, like say the first thing when at 10% mana, and the second at 5%, for example. It really helps the group with taking the healer into consideration.

FarmHud for farming mostly. A bit for keeping track of players in dungeons when Im healing.

Glass and Auto-vendor.

Two of my most fun add-ons. Glass makes your chat window clear like glass.

Autovendor lets you bulk-sell items 12 items at a time and automatically repairs your gear when you open any repair vendor window.

Details, DBM, weakauras, KUI nameplates, dominos, raider.io, and shadowed UF.

Holy gosh… going to spend some time looking at these.

What about aesthetic ones other than UI replacements?

What does this do?

I cant find this anywhere but I want it
