Well, you could roll a night elf demon hunter and get that skin tone.
They did actually change the skin tones you could use to a lighter range of tones. My understanding was there were players going around making joke racist characters that were problematic. Rather than address the actual issue, we got no more extra dark skin tones. It really is not right considering they once existed.

Somehow the suggestion that you can only get dark skin tones when you're powered by demonic energy isn't a great one, Xandreliena.
I'm going to be absolutely real here:
Back in the days of WoW's development, diversity...wasn't exactly the first thing on the devs' agenda -- human characters were going to follow the classic medieval European look, fair skin and all, as they had been in classic Warcraft.
If the game was a product of present times there would be a lot more attention and sensitivity on the issue.

Do you even read bro? we have already stated multiple times you could be black in the games originality. I do not wish to flame you but you are hardly reading anything to do with this discussion.
Humans in wow are a race based on medieval european fantasy, having a black human skin option is extremely empty considering that. There are other races in the game that are closer to non-white culture if this is what you want.
I was faced with the same problem of making a black character. This is as good as I could get but I'm happy with it.

There's no reason to feel shame at this genesis. We have sacrificed all for the greater good and Illidan made an even greater sacrifice than we. I should think that your people would be cognizant of this.

You mean the darker skin tones that were so obviously just slapped on as an afterthought?
Yeah, my character here used to look quite Indian but now she looks more like she just spent some time in a tanning booth. I took Two Forms off my bars after the change.
I'm sorry. What makes you think they were an afterthought?

11/11/2018 08:37 AMPosted by AshallahDon't even try to roleplay this. It's not appropriate.
You're making a lot of presumptions about my heritage and worldview over skin tones for imaginary video game characters. There are already very dark skin tones to choose from, along with more very dark skin tones to choose from with the upcoming Kul'tiran allied races.
You want to talk appropriate? Did you vote and organize to get white nationalists out of power in the mid-terms? Did you donate to progressive candidates? I doubt it very much. You seem more focused on cosmetic graphic options in an RPG.
There are black children as of BfA:

They just need to make that skin tone and hair texture available to adults now.

11/11/2018 08:52 AMPosted by AshallahDude, don't try to act all righteous when you're roleplaying your awful statements. I'm not going to discuss anything with you when your first two posts in this thread were tone-deaf and racist as hell. Bye.
Wrong. The racism lies in someone trying to trivialize real world issues of race and justice by incorrectly equating them with cosmetic options in an RPG.

Also, there is no Latino option. Wow wow... you doing it wrong
11/11/2018 08:18 AMPosted by Pepetuxwhat gonna be next , ur gonna cry because orc can't be asian ???
*barges into thread* Don't even get me started on how the "Asian-inspired representation" in Warcraft lore is none other than drunk-fu pandas. Bah!
Also, reiterating for everyone telling OP that WoW is anglo medieval-inspired and he should roll a "non-white" WoW race: There were already black skin tones for SW humans in the game. They were removed. This is the problem and what the thread is about.
Shouldn't come as a surprise.11/11/2018 08:35 AMPosted by Sabbia11/11/2018 08:34 AMPosted by KaetliynWow the casual rascism in this thread is mind boggling.
Seriously and apparently people can't read either. The racism and low intellect goes hand in hand.
People are asking for darker skin options in WoW when you HAD the option before the model update.
Folks are giving dumbass responses ranging from this isn't Africa or blacks don't exist in WoW.
Shocking

I find it Crazy so many people are defending black people not being in wow. Like do you dislike black people that much you cant even have them in your fantasy world?
So you are fine with wolves, elves, trolls, goblins, and even orcs but Black people is where you draw the line?

Pretty sure a dev stated that SW humans would be getting these tones back again as a cosmetic option this summer when they roll them out for Kul'tiran humans.
