Everyone talks about how evil Sylvanas has been, which I’m not debating, but what about the Alliance? They sneak attack a sovereign nation that never took an aggressive act towards them and kill their king! They basically assassinated the foreign head-of-state to a peaceful nation without even attempting any form of diplomacy. Not only that, but they covertly blew up their navy and tried to loot their treasury. The Alliance is not benevolent. Sylvanas is justified in using all means necessary, including Derek Proudmore, to stop the evil aggressions of the Alliance.
Oh look, another “Genocide is justified” thread.
How oroginal
Never took an aggressive act
Didn’t they try killing us all in Cata or something?
And MoP. And more recently, the Zandalari take part in the Horde invasion of Boralus preceding the Battle of Dazar’alor.
This is not another “Genocide is justified” thread. It does not take sides with one faction or the other. It is merely meant to open the discussion of the unethical acts of the Alliance, which seem to be ignored on many of these threads.
Well, there was the time the Zandalari attacked the Alliance in Stranglethorn and Dun Morogh. Prophet Zul did have the official support of Rastakhan until BfA.
This is some juicy bait.
I want to see it go further.
“Remember the time the Alliance mercilessly slaughtered a Horde peacekeeping force that was trying to enact order over the chaotic town of Brennadon?”
For real though, the only thing morally bad about the attack on Dazar’alor was Frida Ironbellows and her soldiers attacking and killing civilians. Otherwise, the attack was focused on military threats.
Try again

Was Teldrassil mentioned? Was Quel’Thalas mentioned? Why do you feel the need to negate a discussion about the ethics of Alliance actions by instantly labeling it a “Genocide is justified” thread and cherry picking quotes?
Either you stand by this statement, which includes Teldrassil or you don’t and the OP is a lie
I stand by it. In the context that it was used. As a response to the attack on Dazar’Alor and in the defense of the Zandaari.
Sylvanas has flat out stated that her primary goal is to kill every human in Stormwind down to the last child to raise them into undeath. That, plus Teldrassil made this a war of extermination. In other words, the Alliance is literally fighting for its people’s very survival. In that scenario, there is no such thing as bad tactics. For when faced with the possibility of extinction, every alternative is preferable. That the Alliance isn’t openly calling for the depopulation of every Horde nation is nothing short of astonishing.
Thank you Bargrand for such a thoughtful post! You make a compelling augment. Why can’t more people be like you?
This is irrelevant.
This statement includes Genocide, based on your statement in the OP either you believe Genocide is justified or not.
Sorry, but yes… context means everything… you can’t just take things out of context.
Sylvanas’ intent is to commit a second Genocide on top of the one she already has committed.
Do you support the actions Sylvanas’ plans on taking to “evil aggressions of the Alliance” or not?
OP too edgy
Ugh, this is getting ridiculous. I meant this to be a discussion about the ethics of the Alliance’s actions, but you have turn this into an argument about genocide and Sylvanas. I give up. You win Taalva… I’m done.
Than you shouldn’t have opened with
SInce the means she uses, has used, and plans on continuing to use is Genocide.
