We have talked a lot about character customization but there is not a single word about more options for druid forms, who i assume, fall’s under the customization options for your race if you chose to be druid.
As a person with OCD, it always bugs me off some druid forms not matching the race fur/skin or hair color, bear and cat forms having different color shade/palete, and even odd things like taurens becoming grey stags(not matching their own fur color and without the characteristic horns) and worgens & trolls actually turning into stags who may i say, its rly boring and not thematic with then at all.
What i suggest is all forms should match colors with their own and with the race hair color( for trolls, night elves and kul’tirans) and fur/skin color (Zandalari, Tauren and highmountain tauren), and also a few fixes:
Worgen travel form should be a dire wolf
Troll travel form should be a darkspear Raptor
Tauren travel form should be a Stag but with bull’s horns or a Kodo with tauren horns
They should rly update the cheetah travel form glyph, those graphics are like from vanilla, the cat looks so sad and outdated.
Most of the aquatic forms is that ugly walrus who feels so out of place, like, Zandalari got an awesome Mosasaurus and the kul’tirans have 4 different colors of a rad death walrus, very thematic
what other options of aquatic forms, or forms in general you guys think would be cool?
To be honest, the only TWO druid froms that need better customization options similar to what Feral and Guardian got is Resto and Boomkin. Racial wise, I agree they do need better stuff, but for transformations, Boomboom and Resto need work, badly.
Druid forms desperately need attention, especially since they’re inherently left out of this whole customization revamping going on in Shadowlands. There needs to be either an NPC or just a separate transmog tab for druids that lets them pick the appearance for each form, and then they need a massive expansion on forms available. Maybe let new forms be added for completing armor set achievements, or linked to raid drops or other achievements.
Exactly. For all that talk about class fantasy, I don’t feel like the design goal behind druids has been fully reached yet. It’s mostly there, but the customization is simply garbage.
I want all druids that have forms based off of the Night Elf forms to get their own unique and culturally-appropriate forms. Kind of like giving all non-NE druids the Zandalari/Kul Tiran treatment.
I’d like a otter aquatic form for night elves. It’s not something I associate with them really but I don’t associate them with whales or seals either. But a purplish/blue colored otter with big pointy ears and eyes that correspond with the characters would be very cute
If you take a look at the Druid forum, you’ll find that far more Feral & Guardian druids are concerned with Blizzard actually making our specs good, rather than about cosmetics.
Not much point making Feral & Guardian pretty, if nobody is playing them because they’re trash.
EDIT: Oh, and we’re getting nerfed in Shadowlands. Again.
Sounds perfectly fair to me. And I agree, the cheetah travel form could do with some serious love. They did provide glyphs for various alternatives, even if they don’t do a skin update, they could just easily add in extra glyphs for different appearances.
I still think worgen needs its druid forms more unique…I mean most of them look like a light shading difference from night elf…At least the classic tauren and canadian tauren seem to have much better differences in their druid forms.
