Blizzard buffing ST loot really was a finger in the eye of people who farmed up this cursed dagger. Could we expect this semi-iconic weapon to receive a stealth buff too?
I obviously ask because I have one but I was quite lucky and got it with little fuss so it’s frankly much less skin off of my nose.
It already did at the start of the patch.
The entire point of them buffing ST gear was because their original values were hardly upgrades over gnomer and dungeon gear. Why would they buff dungeon gear some more over the current raid items? Use your brain.
If buffing the ST loot was a finger in the eye to you, then it was your own finger that is hurting you. Also how was it a “stealth buff” when they announced they were going to do it?

But they also neglected to buff the caster set, which is still equivalent to Irradiated set stat for stat with the bonuses aside from stamina, so who the hell knows what goes on over there.
BOED doesn’t need a buff however, it’s a farming/trash dagger and will always have a use, the ST dagger will be gone as soon as people hit 60.
Blade of Eternal Darkness was already buffed from the get go. Original version didn’t have the 20+ spell power. It’s still BIS for any sort of AoE farming, there’s no need to buff it again.
20 SP plus the proc is still bis. The ST dagger lacks the proc so I don’t see why you want more buffs for BoED.
boed is still really good for aoe and I think will be that way in general, plus if you do aoe farming (zf gy, brd, mara) its amazing. plus at 60 we are just going into the ab caster dagger / what ever blizzard decides to give us if they buff any more loot at 60.
Yup. BOED gapped the ST stuff by 15 DPS. These buffs don’t close the gap, they just help mitigate it a little.
As someone who also farmed BoED and don’t have Hubris, no they shouldn’t buff it. BoED’s value is for AoE, it shouldn’t be single target BIS and I’m glad there’s something decently better now.
