Devs do t bother if the effort isn’t going to be there. The Gilneas questline was shameful. Incredibly short and lackluster leading to a real letdown of a new city. Then what else? Follow dungeons for normal loot? Ok I guess make of mythic and it’s something.
I’m basically saying this patch was marketed as something decent and I feel it was all smoke and mirrors
I mean, they lured me in with the whole Gilneas stuff, so I bought another month of game time. They made such a mystery about it. What a letdown. I really should have known better by now. Disappointments are practically guaranteed in WoW.
Seriously, I would have preferred it if, from a storytelling perspective, we had stuck with the Legion’s artifact weapons etc. and only added a few new features every few months, with raids for those who enjoy them. Then we wouldn’t have gotten all the mess from BFA, Shadowlands, and now Dragonflight.
Not sure why this always has to be said to someone, but it always does.
.5 patches are never big things. They are smaller content but mostly system changes. There will be nothing big till 11.0. 10.2.7 is just the 3 raid rotation again
It was booting out the scarlets after the Foresaken pulled out thanks to the new leaders. Did you expect it to suddenly be a thriving kingdom right away? Just lije Bel’ameth, it will be built back. Probably both by 11.0
Follower dungeons for heroic/mythic might be nice but they were designed for normal. For story mode or learning.
And there is also the new archeology event. Its short but fun if youre at all into transmog.
This patch also brought dragon riding to the rest of the game, which might be useless for some, but is incredible for players like me.
I do agree, the quest lines for the Night Elves and Gilneas were kinda short and underwhelming. They did a much better job with that Tauren questline earlier this expansion. But I’m gonna tell you, I don’t expect all that much out of the current writers.
A paying customer can expect what ever they want, and a content drop will be viewed equally regardless, because it’s a content drop. This is especially true when Blizzard themselves were hyping this patch up, so, while you might normally be correct, it’s an unrealistic stance to take for this patch.
