What a waste of time

Blizzard hyped us up for Midnights Opening Cinematic, telling everyone to tune in at 2PM sharp for the big reveal yet here we are, sitting around like idiots staring at other games. No cinematic, no update, not even a scrap of communication. Instead of a premiere moment, they’ve delivered the most Blizzard experience possible: wasting their playerbase’s time with radio silence. You said 2PM, not eventually. If you want to build hype, at least respect the people you’re asking to show up

And I’m sure everyone’s thinking the same thing I am: they’re probably just holding it until literal midnight somewhere maybe Germany, maybe 6PM EST here in the States. If that was the plan all along, then just say 6PM. Don’t drag everyone into a pointless waiting game

Yup, it’s crappy corporate marketing BS.

How do they keep getting away with it? Watch how many people in this thread will jump to Blizzard’s defense, that’s your answer.

it’s a good ad for anything not wow i guess.

sending the masses to the enemies’ recruitment program

This isn’t Blizzcon. This is Gamescom.

They can only give the start time of opening night and you won’t be getting anything but the advertisement trailer.

All games have done this, because it’s all they can do.

Calm down.

It’s also a waste of time coming here for any reason right now because we have to sort through spam posts like this

Blizzard do not say the midnight reveal is at any time, just that the livestream starts at 11am PDT (which it did). It’s called gamescon not wowcon so obviously there is going to be other things during the stream, if this upsets you then skip it and watch the vod later when wowhead has a timestamp.

Doesn’t Blizzard always announce things in Pacific time?

As a Kingdom Hearts fan, I’ll tell you a neat trick I use to handle waiting for news.

It’s called having a life outside of game news.

You should try it. It’s like magic.

I’m not going to jump to their defense but they did announce the start time for Gamescon and I don’t know if WoW is the star of that event.

I will say it would have been nice to give a time for when the Blizzard stuff would start instead of making you guys sit through every thing.

I say you guys because I knew better.

Oh cool so WoW is the star? Like I said, I know nothing about this event.

I still can’t believe an opera singer took precedence over WoW: Midnight.

Oh how the mighty have fallen.

that entire cinematic was a massive L

Saving it for last proves it’s mightiness fyi.

If they hold the wow announcement over everyone’s heads. They’ll be more likely to watch everything else.

Clearly it’s working as intended as you are watching the other things. :joy:

I super hope this is sarcasm.

Your opinion is a a massive L

First time I yawned during a cinematic it was pretty but boring and gave me zero hype. Even the gameplay trailer is pretty boring. I really miss DF.
