If you are struggling to climb to 20s, the spec you play isn’t the problem.
The change is good. It’s so Heroic only raiders can not feel so much pressure to do 15s. I wont bother with 20s. I am hoping just less people in the heroic only scene add pressure to do high M+
Wait is this real? Omg i need to find a 0 group i’ve never done a dungeon this expansion
I started to notice this as well. I was trying to just run some 5s and 8s for valor… BUT WTF these people are the challenge. Sign up for a 17 and its easier with a competent group then the clown show that I pugged to run an 8…
I seriously do not understand how there is such a skill gap between thoses who can and those who shouldnt. I do not claim to be a great player or even a good player, but OMG some of these groups I tried to run lower keys with are “special.”
If 20’s are the new cap and the difficulty of 20’s is the same as it is now they will need to do a much better job of balancing specs for M+
I suspect the problem they’re trying to solve is low participation in raiding. Which is a problem with raiding not M+.
My guild got AotC for the last two raids of BfA and never got close this expansion. The m+ increase to 15’s from 10’s and the increase in difficulty in both m+ and raiding chased a lot of people out of the game. For the average player, especially early in the expansion, both M+ and raids weren’t dropping effective enough gear to prepare the average player for the tier they were progressing thru. And this doesn’t seem like it’s going to help.
Personally I think the solution is dropping higher iLvl gear from normal and heroic raids.
Yeah it’s bad. We didn’t have this issue in Legion but that’s par for the course with any new WOW system. I don’t know how Blizz can fix this.
Maybe the changes will help but I doubt it.
All specs can do it right now with the current balance.
By buffing M+ loot ?
I think less systems will help a little bit. But I also think some of the issue is players getting carried by 4 good players that tried to help them out. Then they just trying to pug their shiny new key.
Honestly though… IDK…
What’s wrong with rewarding players for doing harder content?
Yeah now they’ll just be pressured to do 20s.
15s are too easy and rewarding, this restructure is a good change.
You would get the satisfaction of overcoming a challenge, which is fun. I would question the motives of someone putting themselves through that for gear that is going to become obsolete anyway.
Yep. I can already see the threads next year with a lot of these same ‘m+ should be nightmare difficult’ andy’s crying about how there is nobody in dungeon finder anymore.
100% at least on live anything past a 15 you are heavily scrutinized to get into groups and season 1 of shadowlands, you had to play meta or you just wouldn’t time those higher keys
If you read between the lines, that’s the intent. They don’t want people doing M+ for gear. They want people to quit so they can go back to avoiding them in the group finder. Despite it being bad for the game long term.
Problem isn’t IF they can, the problem is if people will accept them in
Sounds like what raiders say.
I actually don’t see a lot of that, even as feral. IO, ilvl and a lot of timed keys overcomes spec scrutiny pretty effectively. But in terms of being successful, 20’s is about where I can see that the low performance of the spec needs a bit of carry to make it a smooth run. And that’s with a lot of players close to BiS’d out.
When players are still under geared and struggling, specs that only put out half of what others can will be a serious issue.
I’ll never understand the gear gate keeping in this game. Blizzard trying to sell more WoW tokens is what this reeks of
Same as always, people are going to quit.
