TLDR: There will not be a WoW 2.
Its always going to be just WoW with updates. You are in dreamland if you think they’re making a wow 2. Expansions? Yes. Maybe a gfx update in the future? Sure.
They aren’t going to create a whole new game just to dump the very one still making them money.
Look at the history of mmos 20+ yrs old still rolling. WoW will be WoW for probably another 20+.

Because a trailer dropped today that contained certain things like the line “The final battle draws near” and the visual effect of the world cracking up toward the end. And because certain people on the forums feel they don’t get enough attention, they come to said forums with their cherry-picked circumstantial conclusions.
To clarify, I 100% agree with you, and knew the second I saw that trailer that the forums would be flooded with WoW2 posts.
It’s the same thing that’s going on with Destiny 3 chatter since we just completed The Final Shape and ended that entire saga going back since Destiny 1 lol. No evidence, just chatter.
I don’t think we’re going to get a ‘wow 2’, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the trilogy introduces changes that make the game unrecognizable, hopefully in a good way.
It makes sense, they brought metzen back to launch the ‘next chapter’.
Classic will eventually be introduced for each expansion so that players can visit the game the way it used to be.
People making stuff up. WOW 2.0 happened a long time ago, it was called The Burning Crusade.
At this point in my life, I wouldn’t play a WoW2 if they did one, if it’s an MMO. I would play a single player version of WoW with great NPC teammates for everything.
