If the half-elf is half-human, then the offspring between that half-elf and a human would be 3/4ths human and 1/4th elf. Most likely would still be called a half-elf, for the sake of simplicity.

And then the offspring of those quarter elves with other humans… would just be humans basically

Elisande’s already made a comment about that too back in Legion, talking about how the high elves have lost the right to call themselves that because they muddy up their blood line with humans. There’s no feasible future for the high elves or half elves.
