Cultures that don’t give any religious reverence to it just call it “the sun”.
The Tuaren call it An’she because they’ve mistaken it for someone who cares about them.

Depends on one’s belief. It can be An’she, it can be the Sun, it can be a mere ball of flaming gas that illuminates the world.
I call him Stan. He isn’t very friendly. Never returns my calls and when I look at him to see if he still cares he burns my eyes.

Sol is the proper name of the Earth’s sun, not Azeroth’s.

yeah, but that’s the tauren name for it. i’m wondering what specifically the elves called it. like, before having as much contact with the tauren as they do now.
