Seems like past +15 the damage in proportion to health pools especially with bursting becomes a bit too chaotic for my tastes. Kind of a bummer I’ve hyped myself up and got crazy geared (274 item level) to push keys and it just becomes way too dependent on meta.
The class balance is really bad and blizzard should be embarrassed. Idk what needs to be done but there’s a few outliers doing more than double the damage of other specs in single target and AoE situations and Blizzard doesn’t seem to care. I’d rather have everyone else buffed up then give out nerfs however. Windwalkers have become absolutely insane, survival hunters do a ton of damage, and warlocks are right there too.

I don’t really know what’s fun about any key…
I can run new dungeons about 10 times at most and I’m over it for a long long time.

I run only for achievements and portals. I don’t really care about rating pass the amount that needed to maxing your gear. SO I also don’t understand why woudl you want to do 21+ keys after you finish all at 20.

Just do KSM and/or AOTC then stop.

well it starts being about player power - you need 3k IO for the good conduits so that’s more about need than fun. 3k is all 20s on both fortified and tyrannical if i’m not mistaken.
past that if you keep going i guess it’s about fun and competition, or habit idk.
The fun starts in high keys where you meet the actual competent players and don’t have to baby sit every single time. I mean you still get bad players once in a while, but definitely better than the vault fsrm crowd.

20’s are just more fun than 15’s.
If you have a geared/skilled group you just mow down everything in 15’s.
If you got a survival hunter GL trying to even do damage on a 15 key, everything just melts.
The fun part is the satisfaction you get when you finally clear a high key that you and your group have previously failed many times.
The friendship and synergy that is formed during these runs is what high keys are all about.
I’ve done a +20 with prot pally, mw monk, 2x feral druid and a bm hunter. It’s doable but just requires a stupid amount of effort compared to your survival/warlock comps.

You dont need to be a meta class to even do +20 keys. Stop saying you cant play the game cause youre not meta class trying to do +16s

What’s the overall difference between 278 conduits and 265s? If it’s anything like going from 252->265 (or any other bump from one rank to the next) it’ll be underwhelming and barely noticeable.
sure but it’s still player power. what else are you gonna do? log out and launch hearthstone?
i try to go for all the player power i can reasonably get usually.

I like the challenge, have to actually pay attention in 20’s, do mechanics, and use your full kit. I just find it more fun to have a solid possibility of failure

Cuz I’ve geared my toon to be competitive and other classes do a lot more damage.

If your toon is that much a of crutch that it cant do +16s without being meta, then this is more player error.
You arnt even doing the meta level of m+, so why do you need the meta specs?

its all about that ultimate glory
I can do 16’s fine without being meta but it’s not fun for me.
So keys arnt fun because youre not top of the dps meters? talk about first world problems.
"m+ is boring because im not the best dps in the group

Higher than 15s are not something that normally would not appeal to me either–no direct reward for the extra effort. But I’ll be questing, have a friend invite me to a group…and it turns out it’s a 20. And now I have a new portal, unexpectedly. Something kind of fun about pulling it off so casually!

Sorry I thought the whole point of playing a DPS was to do as much damage as possible
Is 274 crazy geared? Neat!
