So I’ve been thinking (I’ve been doing that and posting a lot on here recently), what’s the situation up in the seat of the pantheon? Do y’all think that Sargeras actually explained to all of them (including illidan) his true intentions for the universe. And do y’all think that illidan actually agrees with him now? Hell, have VERY similar personality’s. They both sacrificed everything for the betterment of their world.I’m sure the titans would be a lot harder to convince since they’re up tight, (not so) goody two-shoes that believe in immortality and eternal servitude. Plus we all know how that went the last time he tried to convince them. I just feel like after Sargeras explained himself to illidan, like the situation with the void lords, he would actually understand. What do y’all think? Are they best pals now and playing a titanic game of chess? Or are they constantly bickering like brothers and sisters as before?
Sargeras’ ultimate goal was to kill everything in the universe. Because in his view a dead, barren universe was better than a void-corrupted universe ruled by the Void Lords. I don’t think any amount of time would convince Illidan or the Titans that that was the correct course of action.

Illidan Stormrage says: Even now, enemies gather… and the shadows grow darker. From this day forward, the defense of our world of all we hold dear… rests with you.
Illidan seems well aware of the threat of the Void(and knows of how World Souls can be corrupted while sleeping thanks to Antorus) and has entrusted Azeroth’s defense against it to us.
Old Gods aiming themselves at Azeroth would not convince Illidan that extermination is a good thing but that Azeroth needs shielding(regardless of type and what sacrifice is required to make it) and the prospect of an already existing Void Titan should be no different from Sargeras himself in Illidan’s mind.
Of course he explained his plans and true intentions, that is why they all oppose him, including Illidan.
If by sacrificing everything, you mean murdering all of their loved ones, enslaving billions or trillions of demons, and straight up murdering everything they come across, then no they haven’t. At least Illidan didn’t. Illidan left his loved ones alive, went out on his own, put together a private militia group composed of volunteers from his homeworld, most of whom, if not all, were victims of Sargera’s army of demons for that matter, to stop them from destroying their world.
No, Sargeras believes in Immortality and eternal servitude, when you consider how controls all the Demons of the Burning Legion down to their very thoughts, and continuously revives them over and over. Whereas the Titans stress calming down and thinking things through rationally, and consider other options, instead of resorting to Universal Omnicide.
Yeah Sargeras said he was going to murder the entire universe no exceptions, including their fellow Titans waiting to be reborn. They claimed they found a better method, and he went and pulled a Sheila Broflovski from the South Park movie, and killed them all rather than admit he was wrong.
Not from what I have seen. Illidan at least understands that he can be wrong, understands that he has mental issues, won’t harm his loved ones, and allows free will among his subordinates. Sargeras is the complete opposite.
This sounds a lot like a potential fanfiction.
Here is a theory, given that Illidan can teleport what is to say that just after Sargeras arrived, and the Vindicaar returned to Azeroth, Illidan didn’t just teleport back to the Fel Hammer (or just use the Sargerite Keystone for that matter). Then just continue on with dismantling the Legion once more, especially now that their highest leaders have been removed.
Illidan staying behind was a stupid choice, if Sargeras breaks free, Illidan aint able to do jack to stop him, the power gap is far too great.
They’re playing Uno with the other Titans
True, but on the other side of the coin, would you rather he stick around?
Because there isn’t any teleporting outside of where they got locked to otherwise Sargeras himself would have booked. Locked down means REALLY LOCKED DOWN in this case.
Oh, you know.
You know.
Playing poker?
Illidan is cleary on hunger strike…
According to whom? From what it looked like, the other Titans just locked Sargeras into his chair and are holding him there using Argus’ remaining power. Not in the whole Seat of the Pantheon. If Sargeras could get out of his chair, what would stop him from stomping Illidan into a blue-green smear? Figuratively and Literally? The only logical reason for Illidan staying there is to kill any demons who might show attempting to rescue Sargeras.
No they locked him into a position where he and Illidan are going to be throwing down for the rest of eternity.
Sargeras had already shown that he could just one shot t he Pantheon like he did the last time so the Pantheon needs a champion… or dupe to carry the heavy load for them. So they empowered Illidan and now he’s doing the Lazarus vs Lazarus routine from TOS Star Trek.
Illidan looks up from behind his cards, an eyebrow raised as he examined his opponent, the Mad Titan Sargeras before flicking his eyes to the piles below. 5 against 6, if he guessed correctly he’d get to go again and win the game. After a brief hum he speaks.
Illidan: Got any… sevens?
Sargeras: Go fish.
Illidan: WHAT!? How is this possible!? There are only two suits left!
Sargeras: And I don’t have any. Go fish Demon Hunter.
Illidan bitterly draws a card and adds it to his hand, another king. Sargeras turns his hand around as he speaks, revealing a hand of three kings.
Sargeras: Got any…kings?
Illidan slams his cards down.
Illidan: This is outrageous! You’re cheating!
Sargeras: How am I cheating!? I can’t even stand up! No wonder that Tyrande girl ran far far away from such a sore loser!
Illidan jumps to his feet
Illidan: Outrageous! I demand a rematch!
Sargeras: Again? Can we pl-
Illidan: YOU ARE NOT PREPARED!
Proof?
He one shot them because they dropped their guard, and tried to talk some sense into him, thinking he wouldn’t be crazy enough to do something like attacking them on what they thought was neutral territory.
This time they used Argus’s remaining power, combined with theirs, caught him from behind while he was trying to molest Azeroth, and pinned him down.
@Azighan, that is good I do like that, but I honestly think things are probably worse than that.
Sargares is sits in his chair unable to move. Illidan stands before him, a motion from his hand and a book appears in it, he opens the book and begins to read aloud the first passage within.
Illidan: “My ode to the beauties of Tyrande…Book One…of Ten Thousand.”
The phrase “YOU ARE NOT PREPARED!” takes on a whole new meaning now.
Holy mother of god I need to see this.
