Honest question I see a ton of threads about a tavian mount and its size? Can someone fill me in on what I’m missing?

He’s a Bakar that has a questline in Ohn’ahran Plains. You can get him as a mount from the World Awoken meta achievement.

Cute dog (bakar) who had a questline about his unsuallly large size.
He was berated by many centaur because his large size led them to believe he would be a very strong bakar for traditional bakar roles like hunting and sheepdog.
The payoff for the quest is that his large size gave him the ability to rescue many wounded centaur after an attack by the nokhud.
He is the reward for the meta achieve. For the first 3 weeks or so he was the same size as the npc and toy version of him.
Recently his size was reduced significantly to the point that he really can’t be considered large anymore.
Me and many other players feel as though this ruins the mount, as it is no longer representative of Taivan.

An extension to this, they berated them because they thought he would be good at hunting and shepherding but he wasn’t despite his size. The climax of the story being when the Centaur were put in danger, he pretty much served like a rescue dog, the kind of thing you would imagine when you think of Saint Bernards rescuing people from an avalanche but instead of snow and mountains it was something else in the plains.

And his capstone also has him helping console a centaur adolescent briefly after the loss of her family by just being there for her.
The two of them can be found in Maruukai and you can pet Taivan whenever you wish.

Taivan, the huge bakkar in the plains area of DF. He is now a mount but something happened and he’s lost a bit of his imposing size.
He’s a really good npc ingame. I liked his quest line a lot even though I’ll probably not bother to get him as a mount as I have enough and only use about 3 anyway.

this is taivan. He’s the dragonflight open world meta achievement. They shrunk him by about 66% a few days later, completely upheaving his lore on why he was big in the first place.
This is not taivan anymore, he is now a reskinned wolf
