WET Community Lounge: Reborn

Raiku void portals in and drops a stack of papers in front of Kersia. An alarm could be heard faintly through the portal before it closed. All correspondence between one ‘Brandbombe’ and ‘Kirin Tor’. References to incorporeal studies have been sorted on the top.

He opened another portal back to the lab. Anything else? Got a shippment of unstable fel crystals from the broken Draenor that need to be processed before they wreck the containment lab… again.

Meanwhile back at Tinkerspell Innovations…

A red-headed Gnome man with meticulously manicured mustaches chases Brandbombe down the halls of her corporate offices.

Ma’am! Ma’am! You were right about the security precautions!

What?! Someone already got in?!

Yes! It was hilarious! An angler couldn’t have baited the hook better! Walked right into Equinox, like he’d always known where it was, into the file room like he had a lay out of the building, and walked out with the dummy file like he knew our numbering system.

Impressive! Well, that was indeed a very practical test of our security. Obviously a leak somewhere. Find it.

Yes Ma’am! Already have a bug-finding team on the job. We’ll start employee interviews first thing in the morning.

And the grid? Why didn’t that work?

Weeeeeeell… the Draenei that volunteered to power it was in the toilet at the time.

Hmmn. I knew we were always going to have to work out a more reliable power source, but that’s very disappointing. We’ll have to get us another Draenei in the meantime. Damn! I was looking forward to having a few body parts unintentionally delivered. And the actual data?

Disseminated to study components between the seven specified labs.

Fine, fine. Business as usual then?

For the most part, yes.

Good work, Herbby. Don’t stay up too late tonight: we’ve got a full day of interrogations tomorrow.

Yes, Ma’am. You rest well too, and good night!

Not the stress study you were looking for? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

XD You see. Kawisa would not have bothered with your labs. Any researcher worth their salt protects their information viciously. He would have gone to the Kirin Tor. They are the biggest baddest magical organization outside of the former Blue Dragonflight… that makes them lazy and arrogant. :stuck_out_tongue: Much easier to steal from the Kirin Tor’s paper office than a mage’s lab.

That sounds like a far more viable plan.

Still, I would look into that leak you got in your labs :stuck_out_tongue:

By proxy, are you claiming I am lazy and arrogant?

As my employer, landlord, and owner of the lab I’m researching in, it is in my best interest not to answer this question. :3

Indeed! Corporate espionage is a constant!

Is the only way to work with the Kirin Tor and actually get any real work done.

I just ignore them. We just don’t see eye to eye at all.

Except when I’m talking with other Gnomes!

Bah, gnomes are not even large enough for a decent meal.

With proper storage, you could last me months. And I like both bear and Dragon meat.

Whoa! I gotta go. It’s been fun, but it’s real late. Sleep tight my fellow babies!

Tch, I would hope you undercook me and die.

Cya /waves. I have posts to write anyway XD

Reminds me,I need to finally get somethign up,tired from work and FF distracted me

So something else that l’ve been thinking of is that I want my priestess here to keep a canonical record of ‘persons of interest’ (my other characters) but I don’t have a good idea to let her get that information/stories. She is a chronicler of the Bronze Flight (not a dragon herself, she just serves them) so collecting stories is part of her job, but how do i get her to such drastically different people?

Oh that is easy stuff. Azeroth is a big world. She could come across one character talking to another anywhere.

The whole web of my characters wasn’t as pronounced right away. Initially I had: Kersia/Xinaria, Vynianyx/Sylstyx, Mortre. Xinaria is a paladin and spent much time in the Cathedral. Sylstyx always frequented the Cathedral to aid in healing the wounded. Xinaria wanted to learn more about draenei culture to better fit in as a draenei. Sylstyx is very innocent and friendly, so Xinaria hit her up. Xinaria talked about Sylstyx to Kersia, mentioning her little mortal friend. Mortre kidnapped Xinaria to get at Kersia. Kersia sought Sylstyx for aid, also getting Vynianyx who was chilling with Sylstyx.

All is happenstance I orchestrated. Same for all of my various webbings.

Likewise. Choke and die should you try to eat me. But undercooked? I am an alchemical master which translates equally in the kitchen. I promise you would be prepared to perfection. But I’ll take that as a warning about your parasites.

Given that she’s a chronicler, one might expect her to travel in search of stories of heroes, anti-heroes, and villains alike, thus the possibility of meeting these “Persons of Interest”, or even just hearing stories from others about them, perhaps to the point of trying to seek one out. Quite simple.

Sharing the mansion of my mind, it’s nigh-impossible for me to keep each character separate and insular from the others, and so, relationship histories began to form within and across fraction lines, and most of my characters have made at least an acquaintance with others, and for some, enduring friendships.
