Hmmm…

Well…I guess you can’t go wrong with classic DnD. You know–Dungeons 'n Donuts.

I believe TidyPlates does all of this as well as allow you to customize the look of the plate. I use the default settings, but I think you can switch it around so that the plates have a glow when you don’t have aggro… idk it’s been a while since I poked in there, but I can do it around lunch or after work today.
The final boss of DnD was just the donut guy from Lego Creator all along!
Now there’s a cross over. DnD, Lego, and WoW. I need someone to make this happen.
Pretty sure that’s already a thing. Or at least using Lego for minis is. Honestly…I’d probably get into DnD just for the minis, in part XD They look fun to collect and customize.
Warrior and Paladin. What can I say? I love Plate-wearers. Orlok already does some tanking and while I’m lvling my Ally tank I want to see about getting better at it.
Plate is okay, but I tend to prefer mail and leather wearers. And no I’m not sucking up to you just 'cause you’re posting on a rogue.
I still need to try Shaman

I mean you guys said you wanted Taramis to stick around so he’s around.
Gotcha. Both of those are more proactive tanks than reactive, I think. Especially on warrior. So it’ll be a matter of figuring out a smooth rotation to keep minor mitigation up consistently when you’ve got aggro and managing major CDs for big hits and emergencies. These tanks have smaller health pools so the CD management is even more important.
I main blood dk, which is a very reactive tank. Deathstrike provides some mitigation and damage with the selfheals, and boneshield increases armor, but we don’t have a way to stop or slow down incoming damage outside of major CDs. To compensate though, our health pool is a lot bigger. In our case it’s learning exactly how big of hits we can take and fix afterwards with a Deathstrike or two, and which hits require a CD to survive.
As a result, Mori is an absolute monster in PvP. Trust me, you do NOT want to duel him.
My CDs vs his CDs = I burst him down and he just shrugs it off and heals back up while turning me into a pinata. I believe M.O.T.H.E.R. even called him a unit, which is saying something.
Aw shucks…
blushes
The “absolute unit” is a joke based on the dialogue they wrote for MOTHER and how I’ve written Mori the character.
In one-on-one PvP though a tank will beat DPS more often than not, just through sheer attrition. Especially a tank that knows what they’re doing. In instanced PvP I generally prefer to play MM hunter and snipe(though I was pretty good at that too).
I do like to think I’m good at doing my job though
My favorite bg as blood was still the Alterac Valley where most of the Horde team decided I needed to die for fushing them into my teammates. I think at least half their team was after me at one point and I lived thanks to the grace of the Alliance healers and DPS XD
A good tank in PvP is a demi god.
It’s a sight to behold, for sure. Now a bad tank in PvP…oof…that’s painful to watch.
They die so fast and struggle so hard.
Ya I went after some Horde for a PvP quest last night and Taking down a tank as a lock is hard. Especially if they know how around me to mess up my casts.
Tank versus warlock is probably one of the most boring matches I’ve had. Neither were dying anytime soon, if at all. Brewmaster vs Blood can be about the same, as can healer vs tank. Either they can’t do enough damage to catch each other, or aren’t fast enough to chase them down and prevent heals.
Reminds me of the time I dueled a shaman on my priest. (Remaris, btw) I could put some decent hurt on him with DoTs and silence him while I healed up.
that was one of the more fun fights 'cause I was in Disc spec at the time so it was healer vs healer.
Actually i was in Shadow spec so that didn’t happen. I guess I just use Shadow Mend and hoped my mana regened enough.
Was it a certain pandaren that has trouble dodging lasers? I remember that duel I think
yeah it was that fight. It was a lot of fun 'cause we’d just mana dump to heal and then go right back at it.
Oh yeah I definitely remember that night. We had a brawl ring going outside the PvP building and y’all were lapping those box piles like the Indianapolis 500.
