Indeed, I’m sceptical about this new design but I feel like I will adapt in time. There isn’t much the devs could do to get rid of me, I am like that old hedgehog from ice age. “I was born in this hole, I’m gonna die in this hole!!”
The avatars can be changed from the top icon that shows your characters face. However I am using a mobile, I have no idea how the regular looks.

click your icon up the top right, it will send you to something, than click it again in the center, and you can change them.

Aye,it’s the tiny picture at the corner,click on it then when it takes you to a different page,it’ll give you the option to change it. I learned that earlier dinking around with the new set up.
the picture of your character on the far type right… you can literally see it without scrolling all the way up or down, it should be on the same bar as the name of the thing you clicked.
Top right of the browser, you’ll see a little image of your character. Click it. It will open a new window on the right. At the bottom left of that window is “Change Character.”

Most people only post on one avatar, switching maybe once a week. I don’t think frequently switching is something they predicted.
There’s still improvements to be made. We already found a way to break the quoting feature.

Yeah,it’ll take some getting used to but in this case,it’s for the best especially if they start cracking down on the trolling. Cyndi, it’s nothing to get flustered over,you’ll get it… o.O Sure,change is always weird but eventually the change becomes second nature,as though remembering how to ride a bike!

No, you don’t have to scroll all the way to the top of the thread. Go to your browser bar–it’s at the very top of your screen and the place where you would type in a web address. Directly underneath that will be the web page itself. At the very top of the webpage will be a small bar that reads something like this:
Forums > World’s End Tavern: Role-play and Fan Fiction > (name of thread)
Directly to the right of that label is a small symbol of a magnifying glass paired with a small portrait of your character. Clicking this portrait will open a drop-down menu that will have a Change Character option. Clicking this option will bring up a larger window full of portraits of all your toons. Simply pick which one you wish to post on and the box will close, thus changing your character. Rinse and repeat every time you want to switch.
