Admins can see your alts. GOOD admins perform thorough investigations on reports before banning someone outright. I believe Discourse allows you to cross reference things…but reports have to be manually acted upon…IIRC
It only doesn’t work if you don’t employ it.

Okay so.
When someone comes to you and says that someone who appears to just be minding their own business with their posts is actually harassing them, are you going to believe them?
No one is going to believe the victim in this. They’re simply making themselves out to be a whiny prat and actually reducing the chances that the moderators will help them at all. In fact, the victim may be scolded or punished for false reporting.
Moderators are not a substitution for a block feature.
No. It does not work because it does not work, to claim otherwise is incredibly ignorant and dismissive of victims.
Well I’m sorry. If you refuse to employ the tools before you then you have no one to blame but yourself when the harassing continues. I don’t know what else to say.
so on the topic of harassment i have been goted to such a level that i ended up just cutting off from the community at times and including btag friends witch at this point i have ruined any friendship because of this because my harasser gets his little jabs in all the time about my grieving of my father.
not a spot i wanted to be in in a video game forum and i guess it’s my fault for even thinking i could talk about it just to give an example of the kind of harassment that can go on
and i won’t be sticking around was just trying the new forums to see if it would be any better

Fortunately one of the provisions that Blizzard has on this forum is the ability to flag harassing posts as violating the code of conduct. While it won’t HIDE the offending post, it certainly brings attention to it.
