We're getting a mount that has wings summon when it starts flying in Trading Post

At this point can we just get an equip that’ll let our Ground Only Mounts Fly? Clearly Blizzard knows that Flying/Ground Mounts are the most used ones. Hence why the Fox will sprout magic wings when it takes off.

I have a lot of cool Ground-Only mounts that I would like to use but there’s no reason to (I don’t PvP cuz I’m old and slow motor skills) when Flying Mounts (outside a select few) can not only Fly but function on the ground too. So, why not let them Fly? I mean, we already got the Unicorns and Foxes that run in the Sky or just sprout magic wings.

Which is why I’m thankful I can use a macro to summon my flyer in flying zones and ground mount in nofly zones. Wish I could do that in FFXIV.

This is why I have 4-5 mounts on my bars. Dragonriding, ground, standard flying, repairs, and maybe an underwater mount.

As do I. I was happy when they added the advflyable conditional so I could put my dragonriding mount into the same macro.

I mean, if you saw a flying kodo coming in hot what would your reaction be? As to how to get ground mounts flying. We have magic carpets. Just wrap them around the mount. Boom. flying mount.

No, the reason the new fox mount sprouts wings it because it is a reskin of a fox mount that does the exact same thing all the way back in Battle for Azeroth called the Vulpine Familiar.

There are many mounts that are ‘ground’ only, but either just magically fly (the unicorn mounts for example), or just spawn wings randomly, like the Chinese New Year pig mount and many others.

I think the pandaria collection addition mount did it best. Holographic magic wings generate from a part of its harness. Neat idea, too bad it’s an ugly mount and model.
