Were are the strong, male leads in Warcraft?

Hemet nessingwary is sort of like John wick. He’s at least Excommunicado by DEHTA.

Why the company involved in a bunch of scandals of toxic masculinity doing everything they can to jam everything except classic masculinity in their game.

I wonder…

Yeah, they totally backed themselves into a corner. So it is either dammed if you do it but poorly, dammed if you don’t. It’s WARcraft, but they are avoiding a huge premise of the game that made it successful. They have done non “toxic” but masculine characters in the past, and many other games do it very successfully. And they have characters that can be masculine if they put the effort into them.

Example: follow Kratos and Loki, but mimic it with Thrall and his son. Or heck, take Draka Thrall and their child in a spy x family combo. Trall and Draka kicking @ IN GAME while their child is the brains helping from in back. Yes this is fan story, but it shows there are characters we see as could be (or return to) masculine without being toxic.

Strong male leaders are already in place

A,leader dosent need to be a blood thirsty psyco to be a good leader

I always find ironic that same people that want representation in media also are the same people that bash other when they ask for the same thing. Fact there a lot cool male characters in Warcraft and many of them strong maybe your perception of what is a strong male lead is different then others.

When its a one sided heavy handed alt left moderated forum, an intelligent man knows how to win. Ignoring people who crave the attention and live to run to daddy blizzard is the winning move. They, just like you, get no more of that attention you desperately crave. You dont get to run to daddy blizzard and your shaming tactics no longer work on red pilled men.
Have a nice day.

I can tell you don’t mean this lmao, classic tactic of trying to make yourself appear to be coming off as more reasonable and level-headed than you actually are so that anyone who disagrees with you looks like the a-hole. That ain’t gonna fly here.

Nobody’s “crying to Blizzard” and nobody is actively shaming you. You’re embarrassing yourself by coming off as a petulant pre-pubescent child whose only male role model in their life was less-than-ideal. I’m trying to make you realise that before you sink into a hole and hurt yourself or someone else.

Hence the discussion. There has been good discussion and many do agree and many disagree. I also have seen very little “bashing” of other types of characters so idk what you mean by that. Also, masculine strong male lead* . Greymane, Kadgar, Ebys, all good male leads for their written personalities. Sabel is close to masculine male lead, but he is a support to wrathion and Ebys now (read somewhere above in the duscussion) but many again do agree it’s missing.

All of the Death Knight dudes (Nazgrim is the best one ofc), Rexxar, Nathanos are all fun recentish guys being dudes.

“Book Malfurion” is a soft sweet boy who could do occasionally do powerful magic, so if you read BFA reading material, then he relatively recently also was doing some pretty powerful magic and defending of his home and stuff, same as the books.

Legion expansion was sort of just an Illidan butt kissing fest and rightfully so cos he’s dumb and fun and cool. Illidan’s had the best treatment of any character in recent warcraft history

Thrall had literally been in his pre-cata outfit for a while. He just has been chilling mostly I guess.

Also if Sire Denathrius counts then so does the Jailer lol they were just raid bosses who had muscles so… yea. Denathrius was def more enjoyable than the Jailer but idk if they were anymore of male leads? The rock dragon dude Iridikron and Kyrakk are p cool “just raid boss” dudes imo.

Garrosh was a little b* with daddy issues, his whole story is abt him screwing up lol, Wrathion is a better “male lead” than him, Garrosh just had a cooler weapon and pauldrons.

Kalecgos and Khadgar are both doin cool magic stuff and trying to get the blue family back together. I guess Kalec has blue hair so he can’t be manly or smt?

Baine isn’t doing much but he’s a big dude with huge muscles so sorta fits with other ppl you said were manly

I think the prob rn is like, nobody we know are doing super cool heroic things lol? Tyrande had a lot of butt kicking potetial but literally never had a moment where someone was not worrying over her losing control or she was being sad or ppl were just escaping her. Imagine if Illidan had the same treatment as Tyrande… the only thing she did that was an actual Win was kill Nathanos, and he was like, fine with it lol. The last time Jaina did anything cool was BFA, then she and Thrall have been the same in terms of like, just helping from the sidelines and being nice.

Prob is rn they’re just focused on not spotlighting any one character for heroism or badasery, they’re just making it about the dragonflights themselves and the player character. The most interesting characters at the moment imo are Wrathion, Seb, Ebys, maybe Kalec? Idk who the amazing female characters are rn… maybe that one black dragon girl…? Basically nobody of either gender is like, a FUN badasz rn. So tbf, I guess this is tldr saying I halfway agree with OP lmao, but huge disagree that it’s just a male character prob.

I often wonder what Turalyon is doing during Dragon Flight. What a wasted opportunity to grow a character and fan favorite class.

I have no qualms with the demographic, but making judgements based on race are inherently wrong, anybody raised in modern society knows that. Im not remotely middle aged, but beyond that you are correct, for all the irrelevancy that brings.

Also, the assumption only white people want male leads who are rugged is genuinely insane. The world doesnt conform to what you read on twitter and spew on reddit.

Youre right, it’s an inaccurate claim. The D&D movie in particular is a great example of male and female heroes coexisting perfectly. I think the feeling comes from the erosion of existing characters into background supporting rolls, though I guess that’s mostly just as a result of Disney’s prevalance in the movie making industry.

They teased him being chosen over andiun by the nobles in SL? But never went anywhere and they have not updated old world story. It’s like everything outside of the dragon isles froze story wise despite the setup…

I bet you don’t know anything about Marxism, what it is and what it isn’t.
Just listen to what your “traditionalist” handlers tell you it is, right?

Kalec, ebyssian, Sabellian, wrathion (who is young but not a teen), koranos, senegos, Veristrasz, Voraxian, Duroz and kolgar this expansion.

If you find yourself relating to villains more than heroes maybe it’s time for some self reflection…

For the record, I’ve never played Starcraft as it’s a RTS not a RPG.

Yes, I kind of made that my first point.

I would just like to reiterate that I am right here.

Are you sure you are not over there?
