Were Allied Races a mistake?

Kinda seems like it because they are mostly derivatives of existing races. What they could have done was allowed existing races like the Naga, Murlocs, or Dragonkin playable.

I deeply dislike the void elves and the lightforged dranae due to their ties to specific elements in the wow lore. it is just silly to see a holy void elf or a shadow lightforged dranae.

Also, void elves means no high elves

Also, their method of unlocking is just sad.

Also, some races like the nightborn and highmountain should have been made available for both factions.

Also, kultirans should have a non fat option.

Also, some allied races are too similar to their sister race like the darkiron and the lightforged and should have been added as a cosmetic option.

Returning player here  I must say, the updates to the classic races are a big step in the right direction. Compared to how they were in their original state, the current customization options are a significant upgrade. I am also loving the addition of the allied races and the additional story potential that comes along with that, but I have found it frustrating to have to jump through so many hoops this far from their release to unlock them. I imagine this would be even more confounding to a brand new player.

Void elves seemed to be a way to give thalassians to alliance but instead of going with the high elves of those in the silver covenant, they decided to have the alliance accept in void elves.

Lightforged Draenei should have just been a customization option, I agree. I wish we got the broken, but I know they’d have had to make a new model for females.

Same with dark iron dwarves, although I think dark iron should have gone to horde. Wildhammer dwarves would have been better imo, but also not sure if there would have been enough difference between them and other dwarves.

I agree with nightborn and highmountain being both factions since we both helped them. I think it’s funny that as alliance I am helping them but they are a horde race. I don’t think the horde help any of the alliance races in bfa, but correct me if I’m wrong.

Allied races should have been away for both factions to get races that were from the other faction imo. I also think horde got the better allied races.

he said he prefers horde on horde violence

Would love to see a new round of Allied races. As long as they offer new class-race combos that the base races won’t provide. And with eased restrictions and requirements of course

Wildhammer Druids

Undead Paladins

High Elf Druids

Tauren Warlocks

Broken Warlocks

Yes. I feel like they were. Esp. when you need to go back to those respective expansions and grind out the races. It feels like :weary:

And yeah, ofc. Half of them are re-colors or slightly different from some of the base races. Which feels shoddy. :mask:

if a warlock was broken are they injured or dying?
