How exactly would winrates stabilize with rampant piloting/wintrading going on? All ELO will ever do with that in the system is bounce around.

thats my point! my winrate is THE SAME but the rating has tanked, if i win, i go up 5, if i lose i go down 50… THATS THE POINT OF WHAT IM SAYING.
i cant even express to you how many times people have specifically told YOU that. It requires winning 10+ games to account for a loss at the same MMR
The only thing I’ve really seen about this is healers having relaxed matchmaking restrictions, so when paired into a much worse healer (and losing) it can dump mmr.
Other than that it just seems like of like the standard “i lost a bunch then won a heavily favored match where points”

Yeah it’s throwaway MMR for boosters because people mostly buy DPS boosts.

how about you got grab a healer, and just do it. youll see. you can be the same MMR and you will lose significantly more than you gain, it wont even be close.
Youll grind really far for a while, but your first hard loss stops you dead in your tracks and sends you back 300 cr, and you will not recover from it no matter how much you win. It will end up just killing the bracket.
on the flip side my dps are easy climbing, im not struggling at all to gain rating, even after a loss i recover it in a single game, you dont do that as a healer, you dont recover it.
Winning consistently seems to improve MMR regardless of role.
not really, went 2-4 into 0-6 into two 3-3s, won all my games after, mmr was fine

Like, there might be something that causes healers to climb slower, like going 3-3 more frequently than dps because one dps goes 0-6 or because a lot of healers dodged before they increased penalties but it just SEEMS that 90-95%+ of these issues with healer MMR are just having a flat winrate OR are coming off a loss streak and being favored.
The biggest issue is the MMR diff. I played a game on my rogue at 2200 MMR and i was only 1300 CR. I won 2 rounds and got 200 rating. That can swing the other direction and screw you very hard.
That sounds…completely to be expected?

I played a total of 3 soloQ games as rogue and get put at 2200? That seems excessive. I didn’t even 6-0.
Yeah, initial volatility of mmr is another issue. I go 6-0 on a sketchy alt and I’m at 2k mmr from 1.5k.
